She graduated the High School of Choreography and Dramatic Art "Octavian Stroia" from Cluj. She was then a ballerina at the Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca for one year, then at the National Opera and Ballet Theater "Oleg Danovski" in Constanta for 7 years, until 1987.
