Christopher Blackwell is a represented award winning screenwriter and producer. He executive produced the feature film Cognitive which won the jury Remi award for Best Suspense Thriller in the prestigious WorldFest Houston International Film Festival. It also won Best Dramatic Feature in Another Hole In The Head Film Festival and Best Screenplay in Sin City Horror Fest. His script Precinct was recently recognized in fourteen prestigious festivals. The screenplay is a categorical winner in the Filmmatic Screenplay Awards and a top-three winner in the Film Empire Rising Writers Contest. The script won Honorable Mention in the Los Angeles Movie Awards Festival. Precinct is in production with A list talent. He also wrote the thriller Darkness Awaits which is a finalist in the Stage 32 Feature Screenplay Competition, a semi-finalist in the Search For New Blood Screenplay Competition and a semi-finalist in the Finish Line Script Competition. Darkness Awaits is also in production with A list talent. Chris has also wrote and directed the award winning comedy film American Guys which aired on Netflix, Comcast cable, and TVN.. He executive produced three new short films. "There's A Monster Behind You", won best horror comedy short in the Oregon Scream Week Horror Film Festival in addition to being selected into five international film festivals including the renowned Teluride International Film festival. . "Two People One Ring" is nominated for best short film in the British Independent Film Festival and also received a nomination for best actress in the Portland Comedy Film Festival. Both movies are successfully airing globally on Shorts TV. He also executive produced "The Scenario" which won in the Oregon short film festival and Houston WorldFest. The Scenario qualified for Oscar consideration.
