The Inheritance

Some writing is so bland, predictable and boring that people jokingly say they wouldn't be surprised if the script had been written by an AI. In the case of this movie, I would be surprised if this movie _wasn't_ written by ChatGPT.

This is the most bland and predictable plot I've seen in years. It's a better investment of your time to stare at a beige wall for about 80 minutes. It's like you've seen this plot 100 times before, but every similar movie you dig out of the fringes of your memory is more interesting than this one.

Every plot development can be seen coming from a mile away and each character acts like an idiot to move the plot forward.

With a little "genre savvyness" you can guess exactly, around the 12-minute mark, what's going on and how the movie will end. The dialogues are stilted and feel like someone just copied and pasted them from the "Big book of dialogues you've heard 20 times before".

The actors are also terrible, but then again, they had nothing to work with here. Netflix supposedly canned this movie in 2023 even though it was already done, which gives you a good idea of how bad this movie is.
