Night Trap

While testifying in 1993 to the U.S. Congress, then Nintendo of America President, Howard Lincoln, pledged Night Trap would never appear on a Nintendo console. In August of 2018 Night Trap was released for Nintendo Switch.

EASTER EGG: In the original Sega CD version, when the photo tribute of Hasbro's late C.E.O., Stephen D. Hassenfeld appears at the end of the credits, pressing the button commands on the game controller: Up, A, A, A, A, A - will reveal hidden footage. This footage from 1986 shows Hasbro executives playing "Scene of the Crime" (the original title for Night Trap) on their NEMO system. Scrolling text appears over this footage at the bottom of the screen stating: Pawtucket, RI... December, 1986... First demonstration of prototype NEMO system to gathered Hasbro executives...

In 1995, when the game was released for non-Sega systems such as 3DO, Macintosh, and MS-DOS, all portrayals and references to Sega and related products were removed. For example, "Sega Control Attack Team" was changed to "Special Control Attack Team" and shots of a Sega Genesis controller during the introduction were removed.
