The other comment has already said everything about this film from an obscure French director; a film that deserves to be seen or discovered. It belongs to the tradition of French topics around French colonies and the famous French Foreign Legion. There were many of them, even made by Hollywood, and their charm is not too much old fashioned to me, it remains entertaining, thrilling, easy to watch, even for younger daring audiences. It is a man's tale, despite the presence of a woman. Good and a bit gloomy story.
