Out of the Ashes

I only have one gripe and that is Ian Anthony Dale's fake English accent, don't get me wrong it isn't quite as bad as Dick Van Dykes in Mary Poppins but some of the enunciations are the same as Dick Van Dykes so when he and Eleanor Matsuura have a scene together it stands out all the more.

This is the problem when American actors try to mimic an English accent, their inflections are completely off and they mispronounce whilst mixing up some wierd hollywood idea of what a Londoner sounds like with an Oxford University Professor and it all comes out like a drunken Australian with a severe speech impedement with a mouth full of porridge.

Sorry but please give the guy a decent speech coach because he isn't a bad actor he just needs more attention to how to speak with an English Accent.

And on the subject of English accents in Hollywood / American TV there are many different accents to choose from, you have the typically Northern Accent (Yorkshire) like Sean Bean speaks, you have the Liverpool accent like the Beatles speak, the Midlands accent like Ozzie Ozborn speaks. There are lots more worthy of mention like the West Country accent, the Cumbrian accent, the Geordie accent and the Norfolk accent (Similar to West Country) and still this is just the tip of the iceberg.

So why is it we generally hear only the toff accent or some wierd Londoner accent as representing England?

Come on people, really 10/10, 9/10?? The acting is at times painful to watch!! That wisperer guy who's hand was cut off?! The Pope?! Leah!! Everyone inside Commenwealth and especially Tomi and his very bad English accent. Truly some of the worst acting I've ever seen. They wouldn't even get cast for Jurassic Hunt-level movies. And then there's the storyline...absolutely nothing happened in the first 5 episodes of season 11. TWD got bit a few seasons ago, died and turned into a zombie. After watching 10 seasons I couldn't care less about the rest of season 11.

Ok ok, I confess that I've cried a few times watching this series, but it's been a while since that happened, and in this episode Judith got it. An episode full of emotions.

Where exactly did the Commonwealth get the technology to make these storm trooper looking outfits? Just saying.... This episode seems comically confusing and a little silly.

Cailey Fleming (Judith Grimes) might be one of the best child actors currently working, I dare even say on the same level as Jacob Trembley. There is a reason she was cast as both young Rey for Star Wars and young Sylvie in Marvel's Loki.

This season is a massive boost in quality after a couple of rough seasons plagued by poor writing and inconsistent pacing. I pity those who gave up on the show prior to season 11. Also, the cinematography this season is on a whole other level than the previous, every episode feels like a movie. Im holding my fingers crossed every new episode that the quality stays the same and that the stories unfold in a natural way for the characters and the world they live in.
