Resumen
Reviewers say 'Sausage Party: Foodtopia' is a divisive series with mixed reactions. Many praise its bold social critique, clever humor, and unique concept of sentient food, comparing it to a twisted 'Toy Story'. However, critics argue it often tries too hard to shock, resulting in discomfort and unnecessary scenes. The animation quality and repetitive humor are frequent points of contention. Some appreciate the series for its satirical take on societal issues, while others find it unoriginal and overly crude. The voice acting, particularly by Seth Rogen and other notable actors, is often highlighted as a redeeming feature. Despite its flaws, a segment of viewers finds it entertaining and worth watching for its absurdity and humor.

Dude looks at his entire body of work, picks the WORST movie he's made (out of PLENTY of contenders...), and says "You know what...I'm gonna double down on this piece of .....!"
The fact that he was able to convince such a star studded cast of B-listers to throw in with him on this train wreck, is a monumental feat in and of itself!
I do have to admit that there were a few moments that made me laugh, between crude and at times unwatchably raunchy scenarios...
Ultimately it's the talent of the voice actors themselves that keeps this from being a complete and utter "shmashorshin"("Knocked Up" reference), and honestly, still better than most of what comes out these days (have you seen smiling friends??) I guess Seth and the like will keep sharting these ridiculous shows out, and we will (God knows why?) keep watching...

Not much reason too exist but it does and it's still not half bad, tons of parody songs which tend to be pretty enjoyable, maybe tends too lean too much into not so subtle political motivations as if the left isn't swimming in hypocritical billionaires, honestly it stops being very funny at all and just leans into politics, starts taking itself way too seriously, not that it's awful but it becomes, dare I say, generic, living food doesn't take away it's very simplistic and obsessive message with politics, its not about comedy anymore, not about food or random threats or anything of genuine interest at that point.
Sausage Party was a rather controversial flick both in terms of content and in terms of production, and while I hope with all my heart production for this series was easier on the animators and staff, the content at least is better.
Sausage Party's ending left several questions answerred. Once food rebelled, how would their society progress? How long do foods in need of refrigeration last? What about wild animals?
All of these questions were answerred, in a quite brutal social commentary on class divide and the need to put the needs of others before the individual and the failure of individuals to do so.
If you dislike gross out humor, maybe this is not for you. But otherwise a solid recommendation.

The movie was never great, but it was enjoyable. It's something I can rewatch and still enjoy.
This series is far from the movie. The most obvious is the animation. It looks like it was dine by some college kids in their dorm room. It looks really bad. It looks like no time or budget was sunk into the animation. The writing isn't that bad, but it hardly manages more then the occasional chuckle. The only saving grace is the voice acting from several returning actors. That's about as positive I can be. I couldn't stomach more then 2 episodes. It's an akward cringe fest with little entertainment.
I honestly do not understand these positive reviews other then love for the voice actors.

Going to be honest, I haven't laughed once while watching the whole series, but it entertained me regardless. The whole concept of a post-apocalyptic society of food trying to survive was intiguing, and I liked watching some of them turn exactly in what they despise, but I'm not going to make spoilers. That is what kept me watching, my curiosity to see in what direction this foodtopia would go, and I was not disappointed, especially with the ending, can't wait for a second season. One thing I did not like and wish they made less of were the sex scenes. I really hope that there are no people turned on by those, but I know humanity. DO NOT EAT WHILE WATCHING, I was having lunch while watching episode 6 and I was left speechless, no wonder Prime Video had to put the warning.
Would I reccomend the series? Only if you have seen the movie, or if you like post apocalypse content and can stand some of the jokes/food sex scenes.
