Camp Cold Brook

Legendary genre director Joe Dante said he decided to be executive producer on this film in order to help mentor young filmmakers much like he was mentored by people who were already in the business and were successful, including Roger Corman and Steven Spielberg. He said "If I didn't have those people in my corner, I wouldn't have been able to do the work that I did. And so it's in the spirit of giving back that my little company looks for material. Not blockbuster expensive material, but makable material from young filmmakers who could use a little help in trying to put together their projects."

The camp was said to have been abandoned for over 25 years, yet the U.S. flag hanging in front of the main building looks almost new. After 25 years of sun, wind and rain it should have been faded and frayed.
