- AnecdotesThe opening has metal objects chasing after Ernest. This is similar to the beginning of Ernest Goes to Jail (1990) released three years before.
- GaffesWhen Abner is jumping to Goliath from the pipe, as Ernest approaches, you can see the cannon's "driver" through the barrel.
- Crédits fousRight before the closing credits play, a short trailer for Ernest Goes to School (1994) (V) plays.
- Versions alternativesThe version available for streaming on platforms, such as Amazon Prime, Tubi, Youtube, Pluto and Roku, includes the short ''Mr. Bill Goes to Washington'' that was also shown before the film in theaters and on VHS.

Commentaire à la une
This Film Has absolutely no redeeming points, badly acted, badly directed. So bad I can't believe they actually made more than one. If only Jim Varney spent more time acting and less time mugging to camera it might be a little more bearable. You can imagine the director shouting "this scene calls for a number 2 expression Jim!".
The "sitting on the runaway Cannon scene" is painfully predictable, with the very obvious use of stuntmen making the whole thing unwatchable, don't touch it!!!!!!
