Lindy Wade(1931-2021)

The child actor was cast as Daniel Stone in the classic film L'oro del demonio (1941). While filming, however, he was injured along with actor Thomas Mitchell when Mitchell lost control of a horse-drawn carriage they were riding in and it crashed. Both were thrown from the carriage. Mitchell suffered a fractured skull and Edward Arnold was brought in to replace him. Lindy recovered quickly enough and continued in his film role.

Without Art's counsel and guidance, in 1957, I would not have been admitted to Graduate School at UCLA...He led me first to the M.A. in Theater Arts, and next to the School of Education for my PhD.
