Curiosità sui crediti
The opening credit sequence was done completely on a frame by frame two dimensional Animation. The concept was originally created by Animator Marina Ratina and Writer/Director Gustavo Hernandez Perez while having dinner at an Italian Restaurant. The main idea was to show Ajileo as an animated figure, being helped by his wife and son, during the preparation of his crazy master plan: "Crossing the US-Mexico border dressed up as a Lady". The Animation sequence ends with a nice visual transition of Ajileo kissing a mirror that transforms him right back into the real Ajileo of flesh and bones.

A definite must see!

I definitely give this movie two thumbs up! I like the humor that is used in the movie (although the subtitles used definitely don't do the movie any justice). I also liked how the story of La Llorona was tied into movie. I remembered learning about the story of La Llorona a couple years ago and the importance that the story plays in Mexican culture. It's seems like a great way to make this movie seem more realistic.

Once again, I thought it was a great movie and I liked how the issue of immigration was presented through Ajileo's determination to cross the border and make it "big" in the city. =)
