At one point, the show was considered for choice by Fox executive Margaret Loesch, alongside Galaxy Rangers (Saban's attempted adaptation of Chojin sentai Jettoman (1991)), but Fox eventually chose "Super Dave" instead. The show didn't fare well in the ratings, forcing Fox to go with the "Galaxy Rangers" idea by Saban, using footage from the subsequent "Super Sentai" show Kyôryû sentai Jûrenjâ (1992) and turned into Power Rangers (1993), which the premiere scored higher ratings.

This was weirdly funny...

The fact why one of my subscribers on YouTube recommended this show for me is pretty tacky to the point where there's nothing going on in this. Even I had the pleasure of seeing it myself...and it's weirdly beautiful and clumsy to the point where Super Dave sings in the very last episode gave me flashbacks of Sam from iCarly singing Make it Shine from Victorious, and I thought that gave my goosebumps. All and all, this show was fine, just not my type. I'm more into stuff like Dumb and Dumber and Ace Ventura. This just makes me want to play chess while watching. And really, it's that hilarious.
