C'mon. The reviews are ridiculously opposite of how this movie makes you feel, throughout the flick and at the end.
This is a much better, applicable movie, for those of us (vast majority) who had an uncomfortable and difficult middle school/high school years and most people will admit.
If you had awkward moments in school, then you'll love this movie. It helps us all realize that being different is ok. Eventually, people will end up liking us for being US.
Screw the reviews, smile, and enjoy watching this movie.
Watch the movie with an open mind. Think about your emotions while growing up, puberty, and the inability for our parents to understand and explain the cycle of life. My lord, my Dad was so uncomfortable that he handed me a book and said read it, and if you have any questions, come talk to me.
He was the GREATEST MAN I EVER KNEW, and he still didn't understand how to explain the "Birds and the Bees" because he was never taught by his parents.
This movie will give you an opportunity to feel many different emotions, but most importantly, how it was to grow up and feel better about it.
Bet you'll smile and enjoy the end. Good.
