That '90s Show part 3 made its premiere on Aug. 22 and wrapped the hilarious teen sitcom's second season. While the new episodes included Leia making some big moves and Eric landing a dream job, there's one character introduced in part 3 that will have everyone talking: Betsy Kelso!

Back in the seventh season of That '70s Show, Betsy was born to parents Kelso (Ashton Kutcher) and Brooke Rockwell (Shannon Elizabeth). While neither Kelso nor Brooke make an appearance in That '90s Show part 3, their adult daughter Betsy arrives in Point Place to stir the pot for her little brother Jay.

Exclusive: Four-time Oscar nominee Ed Harris (Westworld), Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick), Miles J. Harvey (American Vandal) and Pete Davidson (The King of Staten Island) have joined Emmy winner Jennifer Coolidge, Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman, and Gabrielle Union (The Inspection) in director Dito Montiel’s crime comedy movie Riff Raff, which has begun filming in New Jersey.

The film centers on a former criminal whose ordinary life is thrown upside down when his family shows up for a long-awaited reckoning.

Signature Films and Canopy Media Partners are behind the production, based on a script by John Pollono.

Canopy Media Partners’ Noah Rothman (Small Engine Repair), Signature Films’ Marc Goldberg and Sarah Gabriel (The Estate), and Adam Paulsen are producing.

Executive producers include David Sullivan, John Pollono, Chris Dennis for Canopy Media Partners, Capstone’s Christian Mercuri, and Patrick Hibler and Patrick Muldoon from Storyboard Media.

Sara Waisglass, Jonathan Kite and Thomas Lennon will star in an upcoming holiday feature from DeVan Clan Productions, entitled “Needle Little Christmas.”

The Christmas tale centers around kindred spirits Maddie, Elizabeth and Trevor. When Maddie passes away before the holiday season in a sudden accident, she is given a second chance at life to convince Elizabeth and Trevor that magic exists. The one problem? To do so, Maddie’s spirit is transferred into her family’s Christmas tree.

Lennon will portray Perry, an invasive neighbor with Grinch-like reservations about getting into the Christmas cheer. Maddie must thwart off Perry while reminding her family and friends of the power of love before the last needle of the tree drops, thereby erasing her from existence.

CBS has announced a pilot order for an untitled father/son project from Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr.

“Legendary talk radio host and happily divorced “Poppa” (Damon Sr.) has his point of view challenged at work when a new female co-host is hired, and at home where he finds himself still parenting his adult son (Damon Jr.), a brilliant dreamer who is trying to pursue his passion while being a responsible father and husband,” reads the multi-camera comedy’s logline.

In addition to starring, Damon Sr. will serve as an executive producer and co-writer with former “Last Man Standing” EP, Kevin Hench. Damon Jr. will star and executive produce. VP of productions, Kameron Tarlow, will oversee the production on behalf of Two Shakes Entertainment. CBS Studios is behind the project.

The HBO Max pilot “Gumshoe” has added five series regulars to its cast, Variety has learned exclusively.

Sonya Cassidy and Miles J. Harvey will play the lead roles in the comedy, with Carla Jimenez, Max Casella, and Phillipa Soo also cast. The project follows sweet, optimistic young cop Cassie (Cassidy) and creepy, crime-obsessed teenager Eamon (Harvey) who secretly team up to solve a murder.

Harvey recently recurred on the second season of “American Vandal” and also appeared in the 2017 film “The Babysitter.” He will next be seen in the film “SuperCool.” He is repped by Buchwald and Shirley Grant Management.

Cassidy most recently starred in the AMC series “Lodge 49.” Her other TV credits include “The Great Fire,” “Vera,” and “Olympus.” She is repped by UTA in the U.S., Independent Talent Group in the U.K., and Stone Genow.

Netflix has ordered a half-hour sketch comedy series from comedian and actress Iliza Shlesinger.

“The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show” has been greenlit for six episodes. It will shoot in New York this fall and is slated to premiere in 2020.

This is how Netflix describes the series: “From the mind of Iliza Shlesinger comes a secret world filled with absurd characters, insight into the female experience, and irreverent yet poignant social commentary.”

Avalon Television, which is also behind “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver,” will produce. Shlesinger will serve as executive producer along with Kim Gamble, Kara Baker, David Martin, Richard Allen-Turner and Jon Thoday. Laura Murphy (“Girl Code”) will direct.

Shlesinger will also soon debut her fifth stand up special for Netflix later this year. Her past Netflix specials include “Elder Millennial,” “Confirmed Kills,” “Freezing Hot” and “War Paint.

Arrested Development star Will Arnett has joined the cast of The First Team, the BBC2 comedy from the creators of The Inbetweeners.

Iain Morris and Damon Beesley’s six-part series follows the misadventures of three young soccer players and Arnett will play their team’s eccentric American chairman.

Shaquille Ali-Yebuah, Jack McMullen (The Souvenir), Jake Short lead the cast, with the comedy currently in production.

The First Team is produced by Morris and Beesley’s indie Fudge Park, while BBC Studios is providing financing and is handling international sales.

Roseanne and That ‘70s Show producer Tom Werner is executive producing alongside Caroline Leddy, who worked on The Inbetweeners and Derry Girls.

Morris and Beesley said: “We’re so lucky to be working with such an incredible bunch, some new faces and some we’ve worked with over the years, all making us laugh enormously.

Exclusive: Spanish box office hit The Body (El Cuerpo) is set to get an English-language remake with Mexican multi-hyphenate Isaac Ezban’s (Parallel) Red Elephant Films and Scott Einbinder’s (Killer Joe) La-based Ana Media. Ezban will direct the thriller and produce alongside Einbinder.

The well-received 2012 original, about a detective searching for the body of a femme fatale which has gone missing from a morgue, bagged $8.3M at the Spanish box office for Sony where it was the third-highest grossing local-language film of the year. Director Oriol Paulo also scored a Goya nomination for best newcomer. Pic was produced by Spanish stalwarts Rodar y Rodar and Antena 3 Films.

The remake deal was brokered by Guido Rud of Buenos Aires-based FilmSharks who represented Red Elephant and Ana Media. London-based Meg Thompson represented the original film’s producers.
