The Muppets Mayhem is having their big break cut short. Per Deadline, Disney+ has cancelled the musical comedy series after one season of ten episodes. Based on Jim Henson's characters, Adam F. Goldberg co-created the series with Bill Barretta and Jeff Yorkes.

After it was revealed that the live-action series was getting the boot after one season, Goldberg gave an update on X about his future with the Muppets.

The streamer has canceled the music-infused comedy, which centered on members of the Muppets house band, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. The show lasted just one season; all 10 episodes debuted in May.

As is usually the case with streaming series, Disney did not disclose any viewing information for The Muppets Mayhem. The series has not charted on Nielsen’s top 10 streaming rankings.

The Electric Mayhem Band is breaking up after Disney+ canceled its latest Muppets show.

The streamer has axed live-action series The Muppets Mayhem, which comes from The Goldbergs creator Adam F. Goldberg, after one season.

The ten-part series was released in May but Disney+ never disclosed any ratings for the show.

The cancellation marks a blow for plans for a wider Muppetverse; Goldberg previously expressed interest in branching out using the classic IP, which includes some of Disney’s most recognizable characters.

It is the latest cancelation at Disney+ this year; other shows to have been axed include The Spiderwick Chronicles, which has since been shopped to Roku, National Treasure, Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., Willow, Big Shot and Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.

This new series sees The Electric Mayhem on an epic musical journey to finally record their first studio album. With the help of driven young music executive Nora (Lily Singh), the old-school Muppet band comes face to face with the current day music scene as they try to finally go platinum.

The show is the brain spawn of Adam F. Goldberg, best known for creating US sitcom The Goldbergs based on his youth, Muppet veteran performer/writer Bill Barretta and actor/writer Jeff Yorkes.

Today in news that will totally make you smile (I hope!), I'm thrilled to be the one to remind you there's a new Muppets series coming to Disney+ -- one that takes a deep dive into the rockin' world of The Electric Mayhem Band, aka that band of Muppets that is a regular fixture in most Jim Henson properties. Cute, right? Needless to say, I'm ready for "The Muppets Mayhem"— and the trailer is a major reason why.

Disney+ will revisit the Muppets franchise next month.

The streaming service announced today that the highly anticipated original series The Muppets Mayhem is set to premiere on Wednesday, May 10.

Instead of the weekly release adopted by other series on Disney+, The Muppets Mayhem will launch with all episodes on the date.

The Muppeys Mayhem follows The Electric Mayhem Band — Dr. Teeth on vocals and keyboards, Animal on drums, Floyd Pepper on vocals and bass, Janice on vocals and lead guitar, Zoot on saxophone and Lips on trumpet — on an epic, music-filled journey to record their first-ever studio album.

“The Muppets Mayhem,” the latest series based on the beloved characters created by Jim Henson, will premiere all episodes on Disney+ on Wednesday, May 10, Disney announced on Tuesday.

It focuses on The Electric Mayhem Band, led by Dr. Teeth and manic drummer animal, as they try to record their first-ever studio album with the help of a driven young music executive, Nora Singh (Lilly Singh).

Adam F. Goldberg of “The Goldbergs” developed, wrote and executive produces with Bill Barretta of “The Muppets” and “Muppets Haunted Mansion,” and co-executive producer Jeff Yorkes. Watch the first teaser trailer below.

Lizzo is the latest big-name celebrity to stop by "Sesame Street" to channel our collective inner child, and her interactions with Elmo and Cookie Monster did not disappoint!

In a new clip shared on "Sesame Street"'s Instagram on Feb. 22, the "About Damn Time" singer shows off her flute-playing skills to Elmo and Cookie Monster using a cookie flute. "The one and only cookie flute for the one and only, @lizzobeeating! Your furry friends love you!" the post was captioned.

"I've played a lot of instruments, but I've never played a cookie before. May I?" Lizzo asks before blowing her red and blue friends away with her skills. But then, upon his request, the "About Damn Time" singer gives the cookie flute to Cookie Monster! He obviously proceeds to stuff the world's only cookie flute into his mouth.

Lizzo recently stopped by Sesame Street, where she was gifted a one-of-a-kind flute made of cookies by her new friend Elmo. With Cookie Monster roaming around, it was only a matter of time before the instrument met its demise, and that’s exactly what happened when the blue furball of fury came by to say hello.

“I’ve played a lot of instruments, but I’ve never played a cookie before,” Lizzo said after being handed the flute. “May I?” The virtuoso got Elmo dancing with a catchy groove before Cookie Monster caught wind of the music.
