Tiffany Darwish, a pop star popular in the ’80s, got into an accident last week while driving her car on Interstate 65 in Nashville, Tennessee.
While driving on the interstate a truck driving near her lost its tire, and it hit her car with her inside it. The tire ended up getting caught under the side of the car she was driving.
Darwish was not injured in the accident, but her car is severally damaged, including a part of the vehicle being ripped off, multiple dents and a torn transmission. She did not comment on whether she got medical attention after the accident.
She did post an update on her Instagram feed Thursday with a picture of the sky and clouds forming a heart.
“Thanking the angels above,” she wrote, “and thank you to all who’ve reached out after my car accident … I’m feeling fine, no complications… Hoping they...

"Celebrity Wife Swap" has outdone itself this summer. When the series returns on Sunday, June 23, audiences will get a double swap: Bristol Palin and her sister, Willow -- the daughters of politician Sarah Palin -- will trade places with Joan and Melissa Rivers.
The results may be explosive.
For the episode, Melissa Rivers will head to Wasilla, Alaska to spend a week living with Willow Palin and Bristol's four-year-old son, Tripp. Bristol Palin, meanwhile, will head to Los Angeles for a week with Joan and Melissa's 12-year-old- son, Cooper. Two very different lifestyles will be on display for the show.
At the Palin household, it seems that Tripp is in charge. Melissa will have to deal not only with snow (not a big thing in La) but also with Tripp's energy and lack of discipline. Willow isn't likely to be much help with this as she is more often Tripp's co-conspirator.

For the Season 10 premiere of "What Not To Wear," Stacy London and Clinton Kelly got their hands on '80s pop princess Tiffany. The former queen of the mall tours had been hiding behind ill-fitting vintage clothes for years. Even after gaining a trimmer figure, she continued to wear her over-sized look.
Of course, Clinton and Stacy got rid of that right away, instead putting her into tapered jackets and outfits that show off her weight loss. Tiffany told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that she should have known better. She owns a vintage clothing store and helps her customers look their best in that style.
While she's stuck with her love of the vintage look, she says she's maintained the tips and tricks she learned from Stacy and Clinton. The whole experience was a positive one for her.
"I had body issues and just a lot of bad habits," she said.

"What Not To Wear" is giving Tiffany -- of "I Think We're Alone Now" fame -- a makeover, and HuffPost TV has the exclusive first look at the episode.
In the Season 10 premiere of TLC's "What Not To Wear" (Thurs., Jan. 3 at 10 p.m. Est), Stacy London and Clinton Kelly will guide the '80s pop star -- who once made jean jackets a fashion staple -- through a much-needed change.
As she tells Stacy and Clinton in the exclusive clip above, Tiffany nominated herself for "What Not To Wear" and will spend her own money on the new clothes. "My friends and my family have brought it to my attention that I dress in things that are a little too big for me, but we'll talk about my issues later," Tiffany says with a laugh.
Throughout Season 10, Stacy and Clinton will makeover more celebrities like Nicole Eggert, Tina Yothers and Shannon Elizabeth.

Okay, let's get one thing clear. Mega Python vs. Gatoroid is a bad movie. The film contains glaring continuity errors, the acting gets pretty wooden at times, the script is just as lazy as you'd expect and the CGI is pretty bad (though not as bad as Lake Placid 3). In short, it's everything you'd expect from The Asylum, but that's not to say the film isn't a lot of fun. While it doesn't reach the inspired heights of unintentional lunacy in Mega Piranha, director Mary Lambert keeps things moving with very little drag time and refuses to take things too seriously.
The movie opens with Dr. Nikki Riley (Debbie Gibson), an environment activist, breaking into a building to steal a bunch of exotic pythons. With her are Gia and Ben, who are...

In a career that has spanned almost 35 years, filmmaker Mary Lambert has seen a lot and learned even more. She's worked with monsters of all shapes and sizes, from Mötley Crüe to Stephen King. But even she had never encountered something the likes of her latest film, Mega Python vs. Gatoroid, a wonderful little creature feature created for the Syfy cable network by infamous B-movie production house The Asylum.
When I spoke to Lambert recently, she said, "Every day on the set was like being pushed out of an airplane with a World War II parachute into hostile territory. At the end of every day, we were just glad to be alive, even though we knew as survivors that we were just going to be pushed out of the airplane again tomorrow. Nothing surprises me anymore."

Syfy has started off the new year on the right foot.
In a month that saw the premiere of the U.S. adaptation of the British cult favorite Being Human and the net’s reality show Face Off, Syfy has seen a 10 percent increase among adults 18-34. The network’s successful January was capped off by a strong performance (2.35 million) from its Jan. 29 original movie, Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid, starring Debbie Gibson and Tiffany.

The fine folks running The Asylum have done it again. Purveyor of mockbusters and Syfy mega-features such as Mega Shark Versus Giant Octopus, Mega Piranha and, of course, Mega Shark Versus Crocosaurus, The Asylum has now delivered unto us Mega Python vs. Gatoroid, and it's safe to say that this low-budget delight delivers everything you might desire from a film bearing such a title.
Although the flick's big battle is ostensibly between the titular creatures, in truth the main event features '80s pop tarts Tiffany and Debbie Gibson playing strong women at odds who, by movie's end, are united in more ways than one by a common mega-enemy.
Gibson stars as Nikki, a fervent animal rights activist whose zeal borders on the sociopathic. Tiffany plays Terry, a park ranger whose beat is the Florida Everglades.

Syfy have released a brand new trailer for the eagerly-awaited (at least by me) Tiffany vs. Debbie Gibson match-up Mega Python vs.Gatoroid, which airs on Syfy in the Us tonight.
Directed by Mary Lambert (Pet Sematary 1 and 2, Urban Legends: Bloody Mary), the film sees Gibson play a fanatical animal-rights activist who frees illegally imported exotic snakes from pet stores, sending them into the Everglades, where they grow to mega sizes. Tiffany plays an overzealous park ranger who uses dangerous methods to save endangered alligators (namely pumping them full of steroids!).
After a species of giant python invades the everglades, park workers breed mutant gators to counter the threat. Soon, the battle between giant pythons and mutant gators threatens all of Florida.

The rumors that eighties pop stars Tiffany and Debbie Gibson hated each other back in the day are greatly exaggerated (if you ask them). But certainly, their new monster flick on Syfy, "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid" revisits the old "rumors."
"It's two very strong women and neither one of us are this pristine good girl," Gibson says in a Syfy Q & A video. "Yes, we're justified in our cause, but we're both a little bit off the mark. I'm like, 'Save the pythons, but kill everything else!'"
Playing off the current crisis in the Florida Everglades where Burmese pythons are threatening the area's alligator population, Gibson plays a fanatical animal rights activist pitted against Tiffany's character, who is an overzealous park ranger.
"When I first read the script for this movie, I laughed," Tiffany says. "It's very campy. It was very fun. It was everything it was meant to be I felt.

The time has come. The stars have aligned. Mega Python vs. Gatoroid premieres on Syfy this weekend. Tiffany and Debbie Gibson are so excited the two one-time teen pop singers have recorded new songs for the soundtrack.
Saturday, January 29th, at 9Pm Est/8Pm Cst on Syfy: Giant python collides with giant alligator as the biggest teen pop princesses of the late 1980s collide in their own long overdue smackdown. Deborah Gibson is an overzealous animal rights activist who releases mutant pythons into the Florida Everglades. Tiffany is a park ranger so angry over her boyfriend's death she feeds steroids to some hungry gators in hopes of creating a bigger, meaner, hungrier gatoroid to eat them pythons. The result will no doubt mark the greatest cinematic clash of giant reptiles since Dragon Wars.
A Martinez ("One Life to Live") and Kathryn Joosten ("Desperate Housewives") co-star. Mary Lambert (Pet Sematary) directs.

When giant snakes invade your town, what do you do? If you're 80's pop star Tiffany you feed alligators raw chickens pumped full of steroids in a bid to make bigger, tougher alligators to eat the snakes. And when one of you freakishly large gators - so big it can only be referred to as a 'gatoroid' - corners fellow 80's pop star Debbie Gibson in a cave, what then? Drive your car over it's tail, of course!
SyFy have released four clips from their upcoming original movie Megapython Versus Gatoroid for your viewing pleasure and we've got 'em below. Pet Semetary's Mary Lambert directs.

Syfy has a gift for all of us this Christmas: four exclusive clips from Mega Python vs. Gatoroid. Warring gargantuan reptiles: truly the gift that keeps on giving.
Mega Python vs. Gatoroid: A smackdown so titanic it could not happen until Syfy's and The Asylum's wonder twin powers combined. A January 29th premiere date has been set.
Starring Eighties pop singers Debbie Gibson and Tiffany, both survivors of previous Asylum "mega" movies, in this tale a fanatical animal rights activist unleashes giant pythons into the Florida Everglades, forcing a distraught park ranger to fight back by feeding alligators steroids to eventually create one stupendous "gatoroid".

What’s the major showdown in Syfy’s latest Saturday Original Movie—Mega Shark vs. Gatoroid? Or Debbie Gibson vs. Tiffany? Find out when Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid has its just-dated debut on the channel. The film is a production of The Asylum—which just released Mega Shark Versus Crocosaurus (pictured) on DVD today. (That film doesn’t have Tiffany or Debbie Gibson, but does have a massive prehistoric shark and…well, a Crocosaurus.)...

The mega madness continues at the American Film Market, but this one is '80s themed. The Asylum has brought their latest with Mega Python vs. Gatoroid to this event and currently the film is in post-production. The film is like an '80s pop song flashback as both Tiffany and Debbie Gibson star. Also starring are Mickey Dolenz ("The Monkees") and Kathryn Joosten ("Desperate Housewives"). Have a look at the early poster art and synopsis here.
Also, The Asylum has no shortage of monstrous films beginning with the title Mega. There has been Mega Piranha (details here), Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus and Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. All of these films and many others at The Asylum create a cult following, similar to the self-destructive followers of Jim Jones. More details inside.

Mary Lambert + Tiffany + Debbie Gibson = The Asulym's Mega Python vs Gatoroid.
Ahh, Ayslum. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love you to the width and breadth and height Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus can reach.
Director Mary Lambert's newest film is a horror/sci-fi starring not one, but Two, genius 80s singers - Tiffany and Debbie Gibson. There's also a giant monster/animal thing and probably loads of awesomeness, and the story is by Naomi Selfman. Does it get any better? I mean, ask yourself, can you be more excited about an animal/monster/hybrid Asylum movie? I can't.
What is a 'Mega Python'? Well, I assume it's like a 'Mega Piranha', obviously. What is a 'Gatoroid'? Clearly, some kind of gator-ish monster thing. Geez.
Synopsis: After a species of giant python invades the everglades, park workers breed mutant gators to counter the threat.

Teen pop princesses Debbie Gibson and Tiffany battled each other on the Billboard charts throughout the ‘80s. After solo success as scream queens on SyFy Channel originals like “Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus” (Gibson) and “Mega Piranha” (Tiffany), the former chart-toppers have united for the latest SyFy monster flick “Mega Python vs. Gatoroid.” According to London’s “The Guardian,” SyFy wanted Gibson and Tiffany together for the low-budget horror ‘Mega Python vs. Gatoroid” and promised the former pop competitors they would get to slug it out in a fight scene.

1980s pop princess rivals are reborn as screen pugilists. By Jonathan Bernstein
In 2009, one-time tween-pop princess Debbie Gibson starred in the self-explanatory Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, which went on to be that year's highest-rated original movie on America's SyFy (formerly Sci-Fi) network. This year, Gibson's 1980s chart rival, Tiffany, of I Think We're Alone Now fame, shrieked at CGI mutants in the modestly budgeted cable crowdpleaser Mega Piranha. Few foresaw what would happen next. "SyFy were like, 'It would be great to get you and Deborah together,'" says Tiffany, now 39. "Straight away I said, 'I will give her a call, I will do whatever it takes to make this happen.' People have been waiting 25 years for us to do something together, although I think they thought it would be musically."
Instead, 2011 will see the singers face off against terrifying new misfit creatures – and each other – in Mega Python vs Gatoroid.

The guys at Metrodome have been kind enough to give us an exclusive clip from the just-released-on-dvd Mega Piranha. Having already seen the film (review here) I can tell you that this clip is from the opening prologue, and is just a small taste of the killer piranha action within the movie!
Join Special Agent Finch (Paul Logan) and Professor Sarah Monroe (80’s pop star Tiffany) as a mutant strain of giant ferocious piranha escape from the Amazon and eat their way toward Florida… Will the entire population of Florida be saved from complete annihilation? Will Paul Logan keep his top on for more than 5 minutes? Will Tiffany manage to get through the entire film without bursting into ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’?

“Mockbuster”-makers The Asylum are usually quick on their feet when it comes to producing straight-to-dvd films that, let us say, “pay homage” to big screen blockbusters. Thus, the company’s horror movie Paranormal Entity was available for purchase on DVD just a few months after the theatrical release of the not-so-dissimilar-sounding Paranormal Activity, while their fabulously craptastic, Tiffany-starring, Mega Piranha actually debuted on the Syfy network well before the upcoming, Elisabeth Shue-starring, Piranha 3D.
So why The Asylum decided to wait so long to tip a creative hat to James Cameron’s Titanic is anyone’s guess. Judging...

When SyFy announced that they had cast both Tiffany and Debbie Gibson to star in Mary (Pet Semetary) Lambert's Mega Python Vs Gatoroid they promised in no uncertain terms that there would be a full on knock them down, drag them out catfight between the two faded pop stars.
They did not lie.

"Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid" is already something I can't wait to see. Deborah Gibson and Tiffany, stars of "Mega Shark Vs. Giant Octopus" and "Mega Piranha," respectively, lead the cast of this one. For a movie called "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid," there sure aren't a lot of mega pythons or gatoroids in this sneak peak.
But Syfy is giving the people what they want. The announcement that '80s teen pop stars Debbie Gibson and Tiffany (still just the one the name) were cast for the upcoming Saturday night creature feature included the promise of an "epic battle" between the two.
And it turns out you don't even have to wait for the movie to see it. Syfy recently released a clip of the catfight and it delivers on nearly every level. Mrs. Landingham from "The West Wing" can't even believe it.
We're not clear on why Tiffany has a V.I.P. lounge (she's playing a park ranger), but one question would probably only lead to another.

Mega Python vs. Gatoroid is the next “big” Syfy original monster movie from The Asylum. Riding high on the hype of The Asylum’s previous two mega-monster efforts Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus and Mega Piranha, the film brings together the female stars of those two movies in a head to head confrontation that fans have been waiting for since the 1980s…
Directed by Mary Lambert (Pet Sematary 1 and 2, Urban Legends: Bloody Mary),Mega Python vs. Gatoroid stars former pop stars Tiffany and Debbie Gibson and sees Gibson play a fanatical animal-rights activist who frees illegally imported exotic snakes from pet stores, sending them into the Everglades, where they grow to mega sizes. Tiffany will play an overzealous park ranger who uses dangerous methods to save endangered alligators.
Mega Python vs. Gatoroid will air on Syfy in early 2011.

Eighties pop rivals Debbie Gibson and Tiffany will experience a blast from the past when they begin filming new movie "Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid" - former Monkees star Micky Dolenz has been added to the cast.
Gibson and Tiffany rose to fame as teen pop stars and they will go head-to-head once more in the new TV release, which will poke fun at their alleged rivalry by pitting them against one another for the small screen. But the pair won't be the only familiar faces from pop history in the film - producers have hired '60s singer Dolenz to join the unusual project, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Gibson will star as an animal rights campaigner who frees exotic snakes from pet stores, while Tiffany will play a park ranger desperate to save endangered alligators. "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid" will be broadcast in the U.S. next year.

Syfy found a way to make its Debbie Gibson-vs.-Tiffany movie a little more weird: adding a Monkee.
Micky Dolenz, a member of the popular made-for-tv 1960s group the Monkees, has been added to the cast of Syfy's "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid," in which 1980s pop stars Gibson and Tiffany have been cast as dueling rivals.
Dolenz's post-Monkees career has included directing for TV and theater. He most recently appeared in Rob Zombie's remake of "Halloween."
"Mega Python" is produced by The Asylum and is about to start production.
In other casting news, Illeana Douglas will appear on HBO's "Entourage" this season. She will play the sister of Ari Gold's wife in a later episode of the hit show, with the possibility of returning during the Season 8.

Call it Celebrity Deathmatch, Syfy style. Debbie Gibson -- who long has preferred to go by Deborah Gibson -- starred in the Syfy original movie Mega Shark Vs. Giant Octopus, while fellow 1980's pop music sensation Tiffany led the cast of a different Syfy epic, Mega Piranha. Now, Gibson and Tiffany are set to team up for Mega Python Vs Gatoroid, which will begin production next week and air sometime in 2011. According to a Syfy press release, Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid will unfold in the Florida Everglades, where huge pythons threaten the alligator population. Gibson is set to play a fanatical animal rights activist who frees illegally imported pet-shop snakes, which then become the oversized pythons. Meanwhile, Tiffany will co-star as an overzealous park ranger who's concerned about the growing ecological damage and uses dangerous methods to try to save her beloved gators. Of course, her plan backfires, causing a war between the species and,...
