Matthew Dela Pola has excelled in virtually every area of music
production. He has done work for film studios such as Warner Bros.
Pictures, Walt Disney Studios, 20th Century Fox, Universal Pictures,
Paramount Pictures, IMAX Films, all four national broadcast television
networks, MTV, major cable networks, many major recording labels as
well as hundreds live shows.
Based out of Los Angeles for the past ten years, Matthew has worked as a conductor, arranger, composer, programmer, producer or scoring consultant for artist such as Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Elton John, N-Sync, Alejandro Sanz, Phil Collins, Josh Groban, Sarah McLachlan, Michael Buble, Jessica Simpson, Billy Joel, Kenny G., Stevie Wonder, La Ley, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, John Mayer, Tears for Fears, etc.. He has also worked with record producers David Foster, Walter Afanasieff, Humberto Gatica and film composer William Ross just to name a few.
He also has long term working relationships with many of the areas top talents such as; musicians Greg Phillinganes, John "JR" Robinson, Nathan East, Dean Parks, Michael Thompson, Dave Boruff, Neil Stubenhaus, George Doering, Raphael Padilla, Randy Waldman, etc.. Engineers such as Armin Steiner, Dave Reitzas, Al Schmitt and Robert Fernandez and he has worked in many of the major studios in Los Angeles, New York, London and Miami.
Matthew has worked with the Hollywood Film Orchestra countless times on film and CD projects as a co-producer and/or scoring consultant. He has also worked with the London Symphony Orchestra and many top studio orchestras in many different cities and scoring studios throughout North America.
Matthew has received certificate awards for the Latin Grammy's 2002 Album of the Year and Latin Grammy's 2002 Song of the Year for Alejandro Sanz's MTV Unplugged as string arranger and conductor of the show. Another Latin Grammy nominated project that Matthew arranged and conducted was La Ley Unplugged.
Matthew owns and operates a complete working studio with Protools HD, Logic (was a Logic endorsed artist), and works with most of the latest programs and devices that most pro composers use. He delivers final products for feature films, CD recordings and live shows from his studio named, The Lab Studios.
Matthew earned a Master Degree in Piano Performance and two Bachelor Degrees, one in Music Theory and the other in Music Composition from Combs College of Music in Philadelphia, PA. In addition he has had conservatory training at The Neupauer Conservatory of Music, Philadelphia, PA, with Dr. Jacob Neupauer (music theory), and training from Julliard graduates, Dr. William Schimmell (composition) and Dr. Anthony Weigand (piano) all by the age of 23. His education also includes film scoring classes I & II at UCLA and an audio engineering diploma from Music Lab in Hollywood, California, as well as private conducting lessons with various teachers in Philadelphia and Hollywood.
Matthew has been writing, producing and performing music most of his life having sold his first original piece of music as a teen.
