Strictly Come Dancing's Ola Jordan has defended her naked calendar and denied claims that the BBC weren't happy with her overtly sexy image.

The professional dancer - who exited the BBC One ballroom competition after the first week with Olympian Iwan Thomas - told Mirror Celebs: "I love doing my calendars. I work really hard on the way I look.

"I had a massive injury last year and I worked really hard to come back to the show."

The star injured her knee while competing on Channel 4's The Jump, and had initially feared she'd never walk again, let alone dance.

The 42-year-old Olympic athlete told Digital Spy that he would have liked "nicer" comments from some of the stricter judges, because while he admits he's not a natural dancer, he put his all into his performances.

"To put so much hard work into something and then you get - I won't say the word slated but you know when you get remarks that you think are slightly unfair then it's quite hard to take," he recalled of the comments made by judges Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.

Speaking at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, Bourne questioned whether dancers should be "snobby" towards the BBC One show, considering how it has helped turn everyone into "critics".

"I love it!" he said (via Radio Times). "I seriously appreciate what Strictly's done for dance.

"The dance world can be a bit snobby about things as we know, and Strictly's maybe one of them. What Strictly's done is make everyone into critics to a certain extent, because we all look and analyse the dances.

"But in a good way, because also what it does do is when someone is praised, we understand why this was better than last week, what they've gained."

It's week two of Strictly Come Dancing, and all 15 contestants have taken to the dance floor before the first elimination tomorrow evening (October 4).

Digital Spy was of course watching, and has rounded up all the judges' scores and comments, along with videos of the dances.

1. Jamelia and Tristan MacManus dance the cha-cha to 'Don't Cha' by The Pussycat Dolls: 4-6-5-6 = 21

Strictly Come Dancing was all very pleasant last week - everyone danced and had a lovely time. We even had a wardrobe malfunction, courtesy of Anthony Ogogo and his trouser-splitting jive. But no amount of glitter can disguise the fact that tomorrow night the first celebrity will be eliminated. Sniff.

Luckily, we have 15 exciting celeb dances ahead of us tonight - and we're sure it's still going to be a lot of fun, elimination fears aside. So slip on your sparkliest lycra and join us on the sofa from 6.20pm as we bring you all the action from the Strictly ballroom...

It's Round 2 of Week 1 as the other half of the celebrity dancers took to the stage tonight (September 26) after the first six performed last night.

Digital Spy has ben keeping a close eye on the goings-on and has rounded up the comments and scores from the judges.

1. Jay McGuiness & Aliona Vilani dancing the cha cha cha: 5-8-7-7 = 27

Bruno: "Oh, Jay, I'm 'Glad You Came', because you have the potential to be a great hit on the dancefloor."

Craig: "It was all very neat and very tidy - the only thing I could say that would add something to that is showmanship. I just felt like you weren't really living the experience."

2. Kirsty Gallacher & Brendan Cole dancing the waltz: 4-5-6-5 = 20

Bruno: "Your feet were all over the place, I'm sure you can do better."

Len: "I can well imagine the nerves they've all gone through, and you've got to control those nerves.

Strictly Come Dancing's live shows kicked off with a bang last night, but there are still nine celebrities nervously waiting to perform. Who'll show that they're one to watch... and who'll be one that we can't bear to watch?

Strictly Come Dancing kicks off its first live show on Friday (September 25) at 9pm on BBC One.

The pairings have been set and training has begun on Strictly Come Dancing 2015, with the live shows starting on September 25 and 26 - avoiding a clash with The X Factor.

All the celebrities have been matched up with their professional partners and the couples are as follows:

With the Strictly Come Dancing launch show just around the corner, it was time for a little trip to the studios to meet the lucky (or unlucky) stars taking to the ballroom this year. Jeremy Vine was busy on the radio so couldn't be there, but we still managed to wangle plenty of secrets out of the celebs...

1. Don't expect Peter Andre to be whipping his shirt off immediately.

After giving his best Madonna impression during Sport Relief, former Olympic sprinter Iwan Thomas swore he would never dance on TV again.

However, the experience can't have been that traumatic as he's admitted he's looking forward to putting on the glittery lycra to face his fears on this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

He said: "The last time I danced was for Let's Dance for Sport Relief with a team of Olympians and we danced to Madonna's 'Vogue'. After that, I vowed I would never dance live on TV again because it was so scary!

"But here I am now on the biggest dance show on TV and will be facing my fears live every Saturday night, I can't wait."

When asked if he is competitive, Thomas admitted he's trying to avoid thinking about it too...

All the celebrities are confirmed for this year's Strictly Come Dancing, so now is time to get dressed to the nines.

This year sees Jeremy Vine, Ainsley Harriott, Kellie Bright, Georgia May Foote, Katie Derham, Carol Kirkwood, Peter Andre, Daniel O'Donnell, Anthony Ogogo, Jay McGuiness, Anita Rani, Jamelia, Helen George, Kirsty Gallacher and Iwan Thomas in the lineup.

It's also been confirmed Jess Glynne will perform during the first show.
