Born and raised in Suffield, Connecticut in an area that is often
referred to as Tobacco Valley for its world known, shade grown, top quality wrapping leaves for premier cigars.
Attended Watkinson in Hartford, Connecticut. It was at Suffolk University on Beacon Hill in Boston,
Massachusetts that he began honing his skills in the theatre.
Transferred to Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia where he was a member
of the nationally recognized Honors Theatre Society of Alpha Psi Omega (The Honors Theatre Society).
Spends most of his time as a writer for both movies and TV.
Jay said in 2007 interview that he is "...forever grateful for his close family who have been supportive through all of these erratic years..."
Slingshot was made near his home town for reasons that have zero correlation to the story. Slingshot premiered at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival and then was distributed by The Weinsteins Co in June 2007.
Produces surf films in his spare time. Both Picaresque and Sight / Sound went on to gain international success.
Started a motorcycle gang in April 2015. Apparently it is being documented by a rogue film crew.
The Media Gang (themediagang.com) makes branded content for various companies including refinery29.com. It has been speculated that Style Out There was watched / viewed by over 12 million people.
