Kate is an award-winning writer from Napier, New Zealand, the self-proclaimed Art Deco Capital of the world. In 2018, she studied screenwriting at the New York Film Academy, where she was inspired to pursue her passion for storytelling. She thrives on crafting fun, diverse narratives, often featuring strong female leads.
In 2024, she won Best Comedy Screenplay at the New York Script Awards and Best Female Screenwriter at the Hollywood International Indie Screenplay Awards for her romcom script 'Just a Hitch'. All of her feature scripts have garnered global recognition.
Kate is also credited as the writer of 'Twitch' as well as the script consultant on 'Opia', both award-winning short films.
