    Drowned in 1914 while filming a scene for the movie "Across the Border" In the Arkansas River in Canon City Colorado. Fremont County Archivist Sue Cochran said. "As she was riding her horse across the river, the river was high and running fast, the horse stumbled, and she fell off and drowned. The cameraman threw down his camera and jumped in to save her. He also drowned.".
