Elvis Presley’s love for Christmas was legendary. From extravagant holiday gifts to over-the-top decorations, the King knew how to celebrate. So, it’s appropriate that the TV network that’s made Christmas a huge part of its brand has filmed not one but two different Christmas movies at Presley’s home of Graceland.
Hallmark Channel’s Christmas at Graceland and Christmas at Graceland: Home for the Holidays both offer viewers a peek inside Elvis’s iconic Memphis estate. One also features an appearance from Elvis’s former wife, Priscilla Presley.

Long and Bosworth’s relationship reportedly dates back until at least January 2022. That’s when Us Weekly confirmed that the two actors were dating, with an unnamed source claiming they had been together for a few months at that point. But the relationship took a major step forward recently, with news Long and Bosworth reportedly became engaged in March 2023.

High Heat stars Olga Kuryleno as an ex-Kgb agent-turned-chef Ana and Don Johnson as her restauranteur husband, who owes a massive gambling debt to the local mafia that he can’t pay back. When the mob comes knocking, they don’t reckon on having to tangle with a highly-trained former Russian operative. It’s True Lies meets Boiling Point, as the veritable buffet of bloodshed, bullets and blistering fight scenes plays out as the tension builds.
Let’s get this out of the way first… The fully animated opening credits makes High Heat look like a Hitchcockian wannabe, or a “quirky” thriller a la Don Johnson’s recent star turn in Knives Out. However, the plot...

High Heat is an action comedy film starring Don Johnson and Olga Kurylenko. Directed by Zach Golden.

A rather straightforward action comedy thriller that just seeks to entertain, and does so from the get go. The Hollywood cocktail of comedy and action that has worked so many times before, and having been applied so often it has the formula nailed to a tee…. Following the same schematics as in the past couple of decades with mob bosses, smarty-pants oneliners, we enter a genre that is so familiar to us, does not push us outside our comfort zone, and entertains us.

“High Heat” is a hoot. Though it may sound in synopsis like standard-issue genre fare suitable for quick-serve consumption on digital and streaming platforms, this satisfying mashup of crime thriller and dark comedy plays almost like a wink-and-a-nod sendup of such cookie-cutter time-killers. Indeed, director Zach Golden and scripter James Pedersen go so far as to deliberately emphasize the telltale sign of a budget-cramped indie production — almost all of the action unfolds in only two settings, a restaurant and a parking garage — while lacing clichés and conventions with self-aware wit and sass in a briskly paced package. Better still, it appears that everyone on-screen was let in on the joke — but nobody takes that knowledge as license to break character or even dent the fourth wall.

Review: Given the premise, I’m sure High Heat will get some immediate comparisons to John Wick. I guess that’s just a given for any movie that features a former assassin trying to live a new life, only to be brought back in. But I actually found the film more akin to A Long Kiss Goodnight with Geena Davis.
I really enjoyed the almost James Bond-style credit sequence, complete with a 60’s animation style. But as much as I liked that, it almost felt like a bit of a lie. This is no spy thriller, and we don’t even get much of a history of those spy days. Instead, High Heat feels like a lesson in stubbornness.

"They're coming for you." Saban Films have revealed an official trailer for High Heat, the action comedy arriving to watch in December this year. If anyone is interested. This is another of these direct-to-vod junk films that they're dropping endlessly nowadays. The film hasn't shown up anywhere and is releasing without much pomp next month - it does look fun. When the local mafia shows up to burn down her restaurant, Ana, a chef with a meticulous past as an ex-Kgb agent, defends her turf and proves her knife skills both in and out of the kitchen. High Eat stars Olga Kurylenko, Dallas Page, Don Johnson, Kaitlin Doubleday, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Erik Bloomquist. This kind of seems like a fun twist on John Wick, but what if he was a she, and she was a chef instead? Might be a harmless watch if you dig this cast and humor.

Apple TV Plus released a trailer for “Invasion,” which launches Oct. 22 with it first three episodes.
The new series hails from Simon Kinberg and David Weil and is set across multiple continents as citizens across the globe struggle to deal with the titular event, which at first presents as smaller and more manageable issues.
“My fellow citizens of the world, what I have to say to you is not something I was ever prepared to say. As many of you know by now, we are suffering from inexplicable and seemingly unrelated incidents ranging from power outages to the destruction of infrastructure and homes,” the president says in the trailer, which you can watch below.
But what was once thought of as being individual incidents very quickly are realized to be connected and being caused by something “not of our Earth,” she continues.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched the series finale of “Nashville,” which aired July 26 on Cmt.
The curtain has closed on musical melodrama “Nashville” — this time for good.
It was a wild, six-year ride for the series that originally premiered on ABC in 2012 but was canceled by the broadcaster four years later. Cabler Cmt picked up the series just weeks later in 2016, staking a claim in scripted television. Over the years, the show saw births, deaths and scalds on-screen and showrunner changes and the exit of one of its stars (Connie Britton) behind-the-scenes. Of course the series finale had to go out in an equally big way, says executive producer Marshall Herskovitz, to match up to the “outrageous” saga it always was.
And what better way to do that than to see Britton, whose country music sensation character Rayna James died in the penultimate season,...

Spoiler Alert: The story includes details about the series finale of Nashville.
Nashville tonight wrapped its six-season run — four on ABC and two on Cmt — with an eventful finale that featured the return (in a flashback) of the beloved Rayna James (Connie Britton), a happy ending for virtually every character but baddie Brad and a love letter to the city of Nashville.
It was payback time for the final season’s villain, the arrogant label owner Brad (Jeffrey Nordling). With help of Deacon (Charles Esten), Alannah (Rainee Lyleson), the object of Brad’s unwelcome sexual advances in the final season’s #metoo storyline, pulled off a sting operation, getting Brad’s harassment on tape. She, Deacon and Zach (Cameron Scoggins) then used the recording to blackmail Brad into selling his Shiny New Records to Deacon and Zach for a fraction of its value. And Jessie (Kaitlin Doubleday) got full custody of their son Jake.

If you thought Empire could not get any more bonkers, then Empire Season 4 Episode 18 will have proven you wrong.
The drama and stakes were dialed all the way up to a level I never thought possible from this Fox drama, and it was a satisfying conclusion to Empire Season 4.
If you've been reading my reviews already, you know that I've not been Anika's biggest fan. Her character lacked direction and has for the past couple of seasons.
It's bizarre she lasted as long as she did after all of the stunts she pulled. Pushing Rhonda down the stairs, killing her baby and then killing Rhonda in another big bust-up was just the tip of the iceberg.
Will your new CEO pass a drug test?

Spoiler Alert: This story contains details of tonight’s Empire Season 4 finale.
“That’s Empire for me, it’s earning those big moments,” says executive producer and showrunner Brett Mahoney of the Fox hip hop drama that ended its fourth season tonight in an hour that often felt like it was almost nothing but big moments – and that’s saying something for the Lee Daniels and Danny Strong created series.
Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson’s Lucious Lyon and Cookie lost their record company and media empire but found what looks to be a last love and a City Hall marriage. Now that would usually be enough of an ending for most shows as they pivot to their recently announced fifth season, but this is Empire. Which meant overdoses, revenge, corporate takeover, pregnancies, bad dads, blasts from the past for “The Empire Unposess???” episode. It also meant a body...

The following story features spoilers from this week’s Empire finale — proceed at your own peril.
Boo Boo Kitty has taken a dirt catnap.
In Wednesday’s Empire‘s Season 4 finale, Cookie’s longtime arch nemesis, Anika, perished after tumbling over a balcony and onto (and then into) a glass table below. And klutziness was not the culprit. Andre spiked his ex-stepmom’s champagne, sending her into a drug-induced guilt spiral that began with her seeing visions of the dearly-departed Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday in a kick-ass cameo) and ended with her chewing on glass. The end of the road is near for Nashville. Cmt has released a midseason trailer ahead of the hit country music drama’s final episodes, which begin airing next month.
In the clip we see Deacon (Charles Esten) in a familiar spot, struggling with his unresolved past. Estranged from his new relationship with Jessie (Kaitlin Doubleday), he’s left to deal with an old one – his father. Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) goes to war with Darius (Josh Stamberg), and will face a fight to save her career and her relationship with Avery (Jonathan Jackson). Meanwhile, Daphne (Maisy Stella) pursues her own musical career under the guidance of Deacon’s biggest enemy, Brad Maitland (Jeffrey Nordling), the ultimate manipulator.
It’s been quite a journey for Nashville since it premiered on ABC in 2012. Cmt saved the series following its sudden cancellation by ABC in May 2016, picking it up for its final two seasons.

A new trailer for Nashville’s final season is here, and the fireworks are just getting started.
Cmt’s country music drama returns in the new year with its main characters at a crossroads. As the dramatic two-minute trailer teases, changes are afoot -- and it may tear some relationships apart for good.
Following the fan backlash for stealing Maddie’s song, Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) struggles with depression and turns to a new face, Darius (Josh Stamberg), the charismatic founder of a self-actualization movement, to help free herself from her inner demons. When Darius tells Juliette he's here to "change your life," something strikes a cord with her: "I'm ready," she says with a hint of desperation.
Meanwhile, Deacon (Charles Esten) may be moving on to a new romance with Jessie (Kaitlin Doubleday) following the death of his wife, Rayna, and not everyone in his family -- namely daughter Daphne (Maisy Stella) -- is taking the burgeoning...

Nashville is ramping up the drama.
The Cmt country music drama debuted the first trailer for the upcoming sixth season on Thursday, and it looks like Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) will have a very public onstage breakdown.
In the 30-second teaser, Juliette -- rocking an all-black ensemble and diamond teardrop earrings -- is livid and she makes it known to the raucous crowd.
“I don’t want your money. I don’t want your attention,” a stewing Juliette spews into the mic, saving the most hurtful zinger for last as she storms offstage: “I sure as hell don’t want your love.”

Juliette does a mean, lowdown, plain-old bitchy thing in this week’s Nashville and, I swear on Dolly Parton’s storied wig collection, it could not come at a better time for the Cmt drama.
