Perennial favorite The Great Christmas Light Fight will return for its 12th season on Thursday, Dec. 5, ABC announced today. The series also has been renewed for its 13th go-round for premiere in 2025.

Lifestyle expert Carter Oosterhouse and interior designer Taniya Nayak will return as celebrity judges for The Great Christmas Light Fight which showcases the wildest and most spectacular Christmas displays in America. In each one-hour episode, four families from all around the country decorate their homes to the extreme in the hopes of winning the coveted Light Fight trophy and a $50,000 prize.

In Season 12, Oosterhouse will judge the first one-hour episode, which airs at 8 p.m. with the Campbell, Connors, Foy and Hughes families competing for the top prize. Nayak picks up the 9 p.m. hour with the Cook, Rezendes and Joules-Cornetti families.

The Great Christmas Light Fight is produced by Fremantle.

The Art of Elysium, a nonprofit organization that focuses on healing and inspiring through art, will honor filmmaker Lee Daniels with the Visionary Award at its Heaven Gala, which will take place on March 22, 2025.

The deciding authority in this frightful competition is the esteemed judge, Carter Oosterhouse. With his discerning eye, he’ll decide which family’s Halloween display stands out as the most spooktacular of them all.

On Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 10:00 Pm, ABC is bringing back the spooktacular competition of “The Great Halloween Fright Fight” for its second season.
