Matthew Abaya is a Filipino (Hapa) American filmmaker, DJ, musician and vfx artist based in the Bay Area. A former youth media educator and current Stanford content creator, his work lives at the intersection of culture, technology, and community. He directed Vampariah (Tubi), a supernatural action film, and the short Augmented, a sci-fi horror proof-of-concept for P[AR]ANORMA. He is passionate about inclusive storytelling and crafting bold genre films that spotlight underrepresented voices.
