Dmitriy Bikbaev

Dmitriy is a well-known Russian theater actor, director, producer and singer. He was born in Ussuriisk, but moved to Moscow when he was sixteen with a desire to become a journalist, but then switched to acting. He became a student in a famous Russian theatre university GITIS under the tutoring of an actor and director Sergei Prohanov. While being a student he appeared on TV as a contender in the 7th season of a reality-TV singing competition show "Fabrika zvezd" (Star Factory) and ended up on the third place as a part of duet BiS with fellow contender Vlad Sokolovskiy. The duet produced one album and after that has split with both boys continuing their singing careers. After finishing the university Dmitriy became a member of the theater company "Moon Theater", headed by his former teacher Sergei Prohanov and has been acting on it's stage ever since playing mainly title roles to sold out houses. He also co-directed and starred in the production of Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Grey", which became the audience's favorite and is celebrating it's fifth year running. His other roles include Orpheus in Jean Anouille's "Euridice", king Charles in Jean Anouille's "Skylark", Jim in Tennesse Williams's "The Glass Menagerie", the title role in Edmond Rostan's "Chanteclaire" and Gemon in Sophocle's "Antigona". He recently became the head of youth theater studio "Little Moon", which Prohanov has opened at his theater, and is educating kids in the art of performing. For them Dmitriy wrote and directed two shows - "The Tale of The Night Queen" and "Flighter" (based on Richard Bach's "Jonathan Livingston, the seagull"). Most recently he wrote and directed "I'm not hurt" based on his own play "Obsession". He also organized a music band 4post, in which he's a lead singer and lyricist. The band released an album "#1" and are about to launch a second one.
