Exclusive: Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment is partnering with Wattpad Webtoon Studios to develop a feature adaptation of Love Advice from the Great Duke of Hell, the hit comic from the creator known as Unfins, which has thus far garnered more than 160 million views on digital comic publishing platform, Webtoon.
Attached to script the live-action take is Cody Blue Snider, a veteran of the commercial and music video worlds, who is best known for his award-winning shorts All That Remains and Fool’s Day. Imagine will produce alongside Wattpad Webtoon Studios, with Karen Lunder and Allan Mandelbaum overseeing for Imagine, and Aron Levitz, David Madden and Lindsey Weems Ramey overseeing for Wattpad Webtoon.

Exclusive: Cody Blue, filmmaker and son of Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider, is launching a podcast series exploring the world of shamanic plant medicines and psychedelics.
The ten-part investigative talkshow – The Awakened Underground – comes from Cavalry Audio and will be launched by the iHeartPodcast Network on March 29.
The series will look at the the ancient art of healing and what these mystical experiences teach the world about the nature of consciousness.
Blue will talk with experts in the field of psychedelic medicines including shamans, scientists, doctors, athletes, and celebrities who have healed themselves with psychedelics to destigmatize, demystify, and explore these ancient healing modalities in a way that the western mind can consume. Exclusive: Peter Safran’s The Safran Company has finalized a first-look producing deal at Warner Bros and has named Wrigley Pictures chief and Rampage producer John Rickard as president of production.
The deal brings together two esteemed blockbuster producers on the Burbank lot: Safran, who has been behind the $1.9 billion-grossing success of New Line’s Conjuring franchise and the highest-grossing DC movie of all time in Aquaman ($1.15B), and Rickard, who in addition to delivering such hits as the $428M-grossing Dwayne Johnson vehicle Rampage was also a producer on New Line’s $320M-plus-grossing Horrible Bosses series. Both are respected by Warner Bros and New Line brass as producers who get their hands dirty, show up on set, and are with the production beyond set-to-wrap.

Margot Robbie has had a pretty good year, with her wonderful performance in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and her upcoming films Bombshell, hitting theaters this December, Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) in theaters in February, Barbie, expected May of 2020, and The Suicide Squad, rolling into theaters on August 6, 2021. This sounds like a pretty packed schedule, but Robbie is looking to add a bit more to her plate if negotiations work out as planned.
Robbie is currently in talks to join the comedy film Fools Day, where she would play a fourth grade teacher and serve as executive producer. The film is based on a short film of the same name by Cody Blue Snider, who will direct the feature as well.

Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment is in talks to produce Fools Day at New Line, for which the Suicide Squad actress also is in negotiations to play a key supporting role.
