Márcio Venturi is an awarded Brazilian filmmaker born in Viçosa, Minas Gerais.
His feature film directorial debut was Desabafo (2015), in which two actors play three different couples. The film stars Fernando Alves Pinto.
He has directed three seasons of the Emmy nominated Futura Channel documentary series Destino: Educação - Escolas Inovadoras Season 1 (2016). The show has been shot in 16 different countries.
Living in Prague, Czechia, he was the line producer for Murder Between Friends, starring Dame Joan Collins. He was also the feature film's editor.
He held several positions as an editor from O Infiltrado (2013) for the History Channel to Big Brother Brazil (2002) for Globo Channel.
Venturi studied Corporate Cable and Communications at the Borough of Manhattan Community College where he graduated with honors (A.A.S.), having received a Bell Atlantic scholarship. Later, he graduated in Brooklyn College's Film program (B.A) being in the Dean's List twice.
