Lionsgate is here to give you a shot in the arm with the latest trailer for its highly-anticipated action-thriller Den of Thieves 2: Pantera. Directed and written by Christian Gudegast, the Den of Thieves 2: Pantera trailer presents a balls-to-the-wall diamond heist in Europe, with ‘Big Nick’ O’Brien (Gerard Butler) and Donnie Wilson (O’Shea Jackson Jr.) burying the hatchet for a bullet-chewing-caper that could set them up for life.

If you were part of the clean-up crew taking care of a murder scene, and you found a suitcase full of cash, what would you do? If you have an Iq that’s at least in the double digits or have seen more than a couple of action films, you probably know taking it won’t end well.

But that doesn’t stop Siobhan, the owner of Good Life Cleaners and her crew, Alex, his girlfriend Megan and Chuck from doing just that when they find a few million in cash stashed in the chimney of the house they’re cleaning up.

That money belongs to Gabriel and was meant to pay off some crooked cops until somebody else’s attempt to steal it resulted in a pile...

In the mood for a silly gross comedy? The Clean Up Crew might suit your fancy, since it’s got a cast of oddballs, some campy overacting, all building to a hefty body count. Gear yourself for something between The Gang That Couldn’T Shoot Straight and Hot Fuzz, with a dash of Johnny Dangerously. If not for quality, then for tenor.

For starters, Antonio Banderas plays a gang boss who is just plain nuts. He struts and frets his hour upon the stage, overreacting to everything and spouting excerpts from Machiavelli like a professor on crack. He looks and acts like the polar opposite of the suave romantic figure he usually portrays, whether in comedies or dramas. A couple of corrupt Feds are on his payroll covering up his substantial illegal enterprise in exchange for a big monthly cut of the profits. In cash, of course.

"Things are about to get so much worse." Saban has revealed the official trailer for a movie called The Clean Up Crew, an action-heavy crime thriller from filmmaker Jon Keeyes. He's been churning out tons of these junk action movies, mostly with Antonio Banderas recently, and I'm not sure who even watches them. In this, when a crime scene cleanup crew discovers a briefcase full of money, they are unwittingly sent into a battle with a ruthless and corrupt crime boss, mobsters, hitmen, and corrupt government agents who are hell-bent on getting it back. Sounds like every other script about people who find money. Starring Antonio Banderas, Melissa Leo, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, with Swen Temmel, Ekaterina Baker, Leslie Stratton, Conor Mullen, and Matthew Tompkins. It's another of these eerily similar films, as there's also Wolfs about clean up guys who get into trouble when they're booked for the same job.

Cash Out opens with Mason Goddard and his crew stealing an outrageously expensive supercar as what he intends to be his last heist. Things don’t go as planned however as one of them, his girlfriend Amelia no less, is an undercover FBI agent. He barely escapes, and since he was already planning to retire, takes it one step further, he fakes his death and drops out of sight.

Three months later, his brother Shawn drops by trying to interest him in coming out of retirement for one more job. That doesn’t work, but when another member of the crew, Link calls he’s packing and on his way to the airport.

The next thing we know, Mason and Shawn are kidnapping a bank manager and the plan is in motion.

Good news for exhibition as Lionsgate is delivering two big releases this fall: The Dave Bautista action pic The Killer’s Game on Sept. 13 and the Mel Gibson directed Mark Wahlberg movie Flight Risk for Oct. 18. Again, we can’t be without film product in a marketplace that’s starving for volume.

Meanwhile the Gerard Butler sequel Den of Thieves: Pantera will hit cinemas on Jan. 10, 2025; that title arriving to Lionsgate through its eOne acquistion.

Saban Films has secured global distribution rights to the crime thriller “Clean Up Crew” in all territories but Spain and Italy.

“The Survivalist” helmer Jon Keeyes directs Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Oscar winner Melissa Leo and Oscar nominee Antonio Banderas in the tale of a crime scene clean-up crew that finds a briefcase full of cash on a routine job. The discovery sends them unwittingly into battle with mobsters, hitmen and a corrupt government hellbent on the briefcase’s return.

The cast is rounded out by Ekaterina Baker (“The Protégé”), Andy Kellegher (“Game of Thrones”) and Laurence Kinlan (“Ned Kelly”). The project hails from Yale Entertainment and was produced by the label’s Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman and Michael J. Rothstein, with Richard Bolger and Conor Barry from Hail Mary Pictures. Antonia Banderas starrer “Clean Up Crew” has added three to its cast.

Ekaterina Baker (“The Protégé”), Andy Kellegher (“Game of Thrones”), and Laurence Kinlan (“Ned Kelly”) have joined the action-crime thriller, which “The Survivalist” helmer Jon Keeyes is directing.

As well as Banderas, Ireland-based “Clean Up Crew” stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers (“Velvet Goldmine”) and Melissa Leo (“The Fighter”). It was written by Matthew Rogers.

In the film, Rhys Meyers and his co-stars play a crime scene clean-up crew. One day, after discovering a briefcase full of cash, they find themselves at loggerheads with a gang of ruthless mobsters, led by crime boss Banderas as well as hitmen and corrupt government agents, all of whom are determined to get their hands on the briefcase.

Yale’s Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman and Michael J. Rothstein produce alongside Hail Mary Pictures’ Richard Bolger and Conor Barry. Richard Clabaugh, Stephen Braun and Kurt Ebner also produce.

Sierra/Affinity has reported a strong response to its EFM genre sales slate and has closed key territories on Rosamund Pike thriller Rich Flu, action thriller Den Of Thieves 2: Pantera starring Gerard Butler and Orphan: First Kill, the prequel to Dark Castle horror film Orphan.

A smug-faced Willis takes down his own star status and an assortment of drug smuggling villains in this painful, unoriginal action thriller

Bruce Willis continues his campaign of reputation self-ruin – not that he has that far to fall – with this cruddy, derivative action thriller that pits two cops – one being Willis, the other Swen Temmel – and a bereaved war veteran played by Chad Michael Murray, against an eclectic assortment of drug smuggling miscreants. In a semi-tropical rural locale somewhere in the southern US (Puerto Rico served as the actual location), cops David (Willis) and Cal (Temmel) make a mess of busting some drug dealers. Although David gets injured and caught by the miscreants, Cal hares off after Violet and her super-violent bottle-blond boyfriend (Zack Ward). They end up at the farmhouse of Eric (Murray), who recently managed to kill his wife and young daughter in a car crash by not...

Court documents published Friday reveal the first official account of the shooting on the New Mexico set of “Rust.” They suggest that neither Baldwin nor the first assistant director were aware the gun contained a live round up until the moment Baldwin pulled the trigger, fatally wounding cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.

The information, first published by the Santa Fe Reporter, comes from a search warrant affidavit that was obtained by the newspaper from a local court. Additionally, IndieWire has obtained the “Rust” call sheet from Thursday, the day of the shooting, that details the weapons that were on the Bonanza Creek Ranch set that day and the people who were responsible for gun safety on set.

The fatal shooting occurred during a rehearsal. In preparation, the armorer laid out three “prop guns” on a rolling cart. An assistant director grabbed one and handed it to Baldwin.

Fathom Events to release thriller and companion piece American Boogeywoman in US cinemas.

Voltage Pictures has secured worldwide rights to the thriller American Boogeyman, based on the untold story of the intrepid detective and rookie FBI profiler who pursued serial killer Ted Bundy.

Daniel Farrands wrote and directs the project, which is currently in post and stars Chad Michael Murray, known for his roles in Warner Bros.’ House Of Wax, Lionsgate’s The Haunting In Connecticut 2: Ghosts Of Georgia, and the CW’s Riverdale, as Bundy.

Rounding out the key cast are Genre actress Lin Shaye and Holland Roden.

Kate Katzman (The Comeback Trail), Donna D’errico (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Swen Temmel (The Bay), and Zack Ward (Z Nation) will appear opposite Bruce Willis in the action thriller, Killing Field, a project that was part of the three-picture deal Willis sealed last year with Emmett/Furla Films.

James Cullen Bressack is directing the film from a script by Ross Peacock. In the film, a man (Chad Michael Murray)’s life on his serene farm is interrupted when a cop and a pair of dangerous criminals show up.

Alex Eckert, Tyler Olsen, Mark Steward, and Chad A. Verdi produced the pic.

Exclusive: Voltage Pictures has taken worldwide rights to American Boogeywoman, based on the early life of one of America’s most notorious female serial killers, Aileen Wuornos. Charlize Theron won an Oscar for playing her in the 2003 film Monster.

Currently in postproduction, the film stars Cobra Kai star Peyton List as young Wuornos and is written and directed by horror filmmaker Daniel Farrands.

We all know that Bruce Willis spends most of his acting days appearing in cash-grab cameos in an interminable number of direct to market films; films that pop up on supermarket shelves with Willis’ face front and centre as if he’s the star. Hard Kill is yet another example of this stage in Willis’ oeuvre.

Hard Kill is also yet another Emmett/Furla production, a company who seem to be following the Pm Entertainment model of churning out action movie after action movie, with actors who are either long-term mid-carders or, like Willis, are in the twilight of their career. I’m not complaining. There was, for quite some time, a distinct lack of mid-budget original action movie fare made in the US.

Miller (he also made Backtrace with Stallone last year). 10 Minutes Gone is a crime thriller that centers on a man whose memory has been lost due to a bank heist gone wrong. Frank must piece together the missing 10 minutes from his memory in order to determine who sabotaged him, confronting his team members one-by-one before the boss takes him out. Modine plays Macdonald, a bank robber who can’t recall when he hid millions of dollars, and a bunch of people want to know the answer to the riddle. Stallone plays Sykes, a cop who, along with Franks, an FBI agent played by Christopher McDonald, are out for information about what’s going on. The premise is simple, it doesn’t really attempt to be more than it is, and this is, without frills or excuses, an action crime movie. Hell, within the first five minutes there’s been more bullets fired than a Walking Dead finale.

Exclusive: Thomas Kretschmann, Mitch Pileggi and Lala Kent have joined the cast of Axis Sally, the MoviePass Films movie that stars Al Pacino and Meadow Williams in the real-life story of Mildred “Axis Sally” Gillars, the American who unwittingly became the voice of German propaganda targeted to U.S. troops during World War II. The $25 million film begins shooting this week in Puerto Rico.

While MoviePass is still trying to figure out how to keep their movie subscription service alive, their film division, MoviePass Film, is moving forward with a new film project called 10 Minutes Gone and Bruce Willis is set to star in it.

The story follows a man "who loses ten minutes of his memory due to being hit by a stray bullet during a bank heist gone wrong. He must put the pieces of his broken memory together in order to find out who sabotaged the job and took the money, all while being pursued by a powerful crime boss hellbent on recovering the cash."

Willis will take on the role of the pissed off crime boss. In a statement, Willis said that he's “excited to be working with producers Randall Emmett and George Furla again with their new venture MoviePass Films.”

Brian A. Miller will direct a script from Kelvin Mao and Jeff Jingle. Also starring is Meadow Williams who recently completed filming on Boss Level, opposite Mel Gibson and Naomi Watts, and After. It marks the fourth collaboration between Emmett, Furla, and Williams.

The deal was announced Tuesday, the opening day of the Cannes Film Festival. Voltage International is handling worldwide sales rights and is co-repping domestic rights with CalMaple.

Jenny Gage will direct from a script written by Susan McMartin, Tamara Chestna, and Gage and Tom Betterton.

Producers are Mark Canton and Courtney Solomon of CalMaple Films, and Jennifer Gibgot (“17 Again”) of Offspring Entertainment. CalMaple, Voltage Pictures and Diamond Film Productions are financing the film. Wattpad’s Aron Levitz, Anna Todd, and Dennis Pelino from CalMaple are also producing.
