Here’s the official synopsis for Den of Thieves 2: Pantera:
In Den of Thieves 2: Pantera, Big Nick is back on the hunt on the mean streets of Europe, closing in on Donnie, who is embroiled in the dangerous world of diamond thieves and the infamous Panther mafia, as they plot a massive heist of the world’s biggest diamond exchange.
Jordan Bridges, Swen Temmel, Evin Ahmad, Yaen Zates Atour, Salvatore Esposito, Orli Shuka, and Rico Verhoeven star alongside Butler and Jackson Jr.

Big Nick is back! That's right folks, everybody's favourite morally iffy, day-drinking LA County Sheriff's Department detective is back in the saddle, revved up and ready for more cops and robbers shenanigans in Christian Gudegast's heist movie sequel Den Of Thieves 2: Pantera. But whilst the first film was basically a down-and-dirty Heat, with Gerard Butler playing the Al Pacino to Pablo Schreiber's Robert De Niro, this time around — if the new trailer's anything to go by at least — it looks like our man Nick O'Brien is eyeing a slice of O'Shea Jackson Jr.'s World Diamond Centre pilfering pie for himself. Check it out below;
At an epic nigh-on three minutes long, you'd imagine there's a lot to unpack from this first look at the latest from the man who wrote London Has Fallen. But let's face it, we know exactly what we're here for with Den Of Thieves 2,...

Who’s ready to re-enter the lion’s den for a high-stakes heist with enemies closing in on all sides? Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), that’s who! The dynamic duo returns for another action-packed mission from director Christian Gudegast, whose 2018 crime thriller, Den of Thieves, is a favorite here at JoBlo. So, when a Den of Thieves 2: Pantera trailer hits the scene, we’re there.

If you were part of the clean-up crew taking care of a murder scene, and you found a suitcase full of cash, what would you do? If you have an Iq that’s at least in the double digits or have seen more than a couple of action films, you probably know taking it won’t end well.
But that doesn’t stop Siobhan, the owner of Good Life Cleaners and her crew, Alex, his girlfriend Megan and Chuck from doing just that when they find a few million in cash stashed in the chimney of the house they’re cleaning up.
That money belongs to Gabriel and was meant to pay off some crooked cops until somebody else’s attempt to steal it resulted in a pile...

In the mood for a silly gross comedy? The Clean Up Crew might suit your fancy, since it’s got a cast of oddballs, some campy overacting, all building to a hefty body count. Gear yourself for something between The Gang That Couldn’T Shoot Straight and Hot Fuzz, with a dash of Johnny Dangerously. If not for quality, then for tenor.
For starters, Antonio Banderas plays a gang boss who is just plain nuts. He struts and frets his hour upon the stage, overreacting to everything and spouting excerpts from Machiavelli like a professor on crack. He looks and acts like the polar opposite of the suave romantic figure he usually portrays, whether in comedies or dramas. A couple of corrupt Feds are on his payroll covering up his substantial illegal enterprise in exchange for a big monthly cut of the profits. In cash, of course.

"Things are about to get so much worse." Saban has revealed the official trailer for a movie called The Clean Up Crew, an action-heavy crime thriller from filmmaker Jon Keeyes. He's been churning out tons of these junk action movies, mostly with Antonio Banderas recently, and I'm not sure who even watches them. In this, when a crime scene cleanup crew discovers a briefcase full of money, they are unwittingly sent into a battle with a ruthless and corrupt crime boss, mobsters, hitmen, and corrupt government agents who are hell-bent on getting it back. Sounds like every other script about people who find money. Starring Antonio Banderas, Melissa Leo, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, with Swen Temmel, Ekaterina Baker, Leslie Stratton, Conor Mullen, and Matthew Tompkins. It's another of these eerily similar films, as there's also Wolfs about clean up guys who get into trouble when they're booked for the same job.

Cash Out opens with Mason Goddard and his crew stealing an outrageously expensive supercar as what he intends to be his last heist. Things don’t go as planned however as one of them, his girlfriend Amelia no less, is an undercover FBI agent. He barely escapes, and since he was already planning to retire, takes it one step further, he fakes his death and drops out of sight.
Three months later, his brother Shawn drops by trying to interest him in coming out of retirement for one more job. That doesn’t work, but when another member of the crew, Link calls he’s packing and on his way to the airport.
The next thing we know, Mason and Shawn are kidnapping a bank manager and the plan is in motion.

Good news for exhibition as Lionsgate is delivering two big releases this fall: The Dave Bautista action pic The Killer’s Game on Sept. 13 and the Mel Gibson directed Mark Wahlberg movie Flight Risk for Oct. 18. Again, we can’t be without film product in a marketplace that’s starving for volume.
Meanwhile the Gerard Butler sequel Den of Thieves: Pantera will hit cinemas on Jan. 10, 2025; that title arriving to Lionsgate through its eOne acquistion.
The JJ Perry directed The Killer’s Game, based on the book by Jay R. Bonansinga and adapted by Rand Ravich and James Coyne, follows a top hitman, Joe Flood (Bautista) who is diagnosed with a terminal illness. He opts to take matters into his own hands – by taking a hit out on himself. But when the very hitmen he hired also target his ex-girlfriend (Sofia Boutella), he must fend off an army of assassin colleagues and...

"You just have to keep one step ahead of her." Saban Films has unveiled the trailer for a crime thriller titled Cash Out, from a filmmaker known as "Ives", debuting to watch at the end of April. Yet another of these dime a dozen, extremely derivative crime thrillers. This one is about a bank robbery gone wrong. When his crew's bank heist goes wrong, Mason gets trapped with his team inside the bank they’re trying to rob, and then it all evolves to a hostage situation involving Swat teams, the FBI and Interpol. How will they get out of this high stakes trap? John Travolta stars as Mason, with Kristin Davis, Quavo, Lukas Haas, Swen Temmel, Sean Astin, and Noel Gugliemi. Apparently there is already a sequel to Cash Out that's shot and ready to go - filmed in 2023 after this one filmed in 2022. Huh. This looks so forgettably...

Court documents published Friday reveal the first official account of the shooting on the New Mexico set of “Rust.” They suggest that neither Baldwin nor the first assistant director were aware the gun contained a live round up until the moment Baldwin pulled the trigger, fatally wounding cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.
The information, first published by the Santa Fe Reporter, comes from a search warrant affidavit that was obtained by the newspaper from a local court. Additionally, IndieWire has obtained the “Rust” call sheet from Thursday, the day of the shooting, that details the weapons that were on the Bonanza Creek Ranch set that day and the people who were responsible for gun safety on set.
The fatal shooting occurred during a rehearsal. In preparation, the armorer laid out three “prop guns” on a rolling cart. An assistant director grabbed one and handed it to Baldwin.

"I've been chasing their boss forever... this might go south." Lionsgate has released the official trailer for another cheap, cheesy action thriller called Survive the Game. Not to be confused with any of the other "Survive" films recently, including Survive the Night (which also has Bruce Willis funny enough). This is yet another of these films that will make you wonder "why is Bruce Willis making such trashy movies all the time over and over these days?!" Outnumbered, three heroes must use stealth, smarts, and good shooting to take down the drug-dealing mob. Oscar-winner Al Pacino and Meadow Williams star in American Traitor: The Trial of Axis Sally, the historical drama hitting select theaters this Memorial Day weekend via Vertical Entertainment and Redbox Entertainment. Michael Polish directed the film, which is based on a true story and follows the life of American woman Mildred Gillars (Williams) and her lawyer (Pacino), who struggle to redeem her reputation.

In 1981’s “Lili Marleen,” directed by German provocateur R.W. Fassbinder, the titular song is repeatedly played to an imprisoned man in an effort to break his spirit. In “American Traitor: The Trial of Axis Sally,” it takes only one rendition to have much the same effect on the viewer, though that may be because by the time Mildred Gillars (Meadow Williams) performs it at some Nazi Party party, we’ve already had an hour of this utterly absurd movie, and are ready to crack.
Clumsy, campy and kitsch, but also deadeningly dull for long stretches, “American Traitor” is directed by Michael Polish (“The Astronaut Farmer”) and based on the true story of radio star Gillars, aka Axis Sally, an American wannabe actress who found notoriety as the English-language voice of the Third Reich’s propaganda machine. But the film swings very wide of recorded history, especially in terms of...

Movie History 101 will soon be in the Summer Session at the local multiplex (or for those still “in-home learning” streaming online). And just where does the course, begin? What better backdrop than the last World War, number II if you’re taking notes. However, this week’s lesson plan, feature film actually, doesn’t concern any major battles, or big military milestones. This is a story about the use of propaganda, though its use goes back far before the printed word. But in WWII, this weapon of persuasion hit the airwaves, the radio airwaves to be precise. Last year, Da 5 Bloods included flashbacks to the broadcasts of Hanoi Hannah, a sultry voice that was usually laughed off by the GIs. Twenty or so years before her, there was Tokyo Rose, going out through WWII’s war in the Pacific. Less well known was the siren of the war in Europe,...

We all know that Bruce Willis spends most of his acting days appearing in cash-grab cameos in an interminable number of direct to market films; films that pop up on supermarket shelves with Willis’ face front and centre as if he’s the star. Hard Kill is yet another example of this stage in Willis’ oeuvre.
Hard Kill is also yet another Emmett/Furla production, a company who seem to be following the Pm Entertainment model of churning out action movie after action movie, with actors who are either long-term mid-carders or, like Willis, are in the twilight of their career. I’m not complaining. There was, for quite some time, a distinct lack of mid-budget original action movie fare made in the US.

"If you want to survive, we're gonna have to work together." Another day, another awful new action movie with Bruce Willis. Too many of these already. Vertical Ent. has released a trailer for the action thriller Hard Kill. The work of billionaire tech CEO Donovan Chalmers is so valuable that he hires mercenaries to protect it, and a terrorist group kidnaps his daughter to get it. Another description says they must "stop a world-changing computer program from being triggered." Bruce Willis stars as Chalmers, with a cast including Jesse Metcalfe, Natalie Eva Marie, Tyler Jon Olson, Swen Temmel, and Texas Battle. This looks as cheesy and boring as every other Bruce Willis action flick these last few years. There isn't a scene where he doesn't wear the same scarf. I don't know why they keep making them, I don't know who watches them. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Matt Eskandari's Hard Kill,...

"What do you think these guys want?" "I might have a pretty good idea." Lionsgate has released an official trailer for Force of Nature, an action thriller from filmmaker Michael Polish, launching directly onto VOD services in June this summer. Yet another movie set during a Category 5 hurricane, but this time not a horror (like Crawl). A gang of thieves plan a heist during a hurricane and encounter trouble when a cop tries to force everyone in the big apartment building to evacuate. Emile Hirsch stars with Mel Gibson, Kate Bosworth, David Zayas, Stephanie Cayo, William Catlett, Tyler Jon Olson, Swen Temmel, & Rey Hernandez. The hurricane in this looks so incredibly fake, and the rest of it just looks so mediocre. Might be worth skipping. "Every minute gets him closer to the truth." Lionsgate has debuted an official trailer for a crime thriller film titled 10 Minutes Gone, the latest by mediocre action filmmaker Brian A. Miller (he also made Backtrace with Stallone last year). 10 Minutes Gone is a crime thriller that centers on a man whose memory has been lost due to a bank heist gone wrong. Frank must piece together the missing 10 minutes from his memory in order to determine who sabotaged him, confronting his team members one-by-one before the boss takes him out. Michael Chiklis stars as Frank, with Bruce Willis, Meadow Williams, Kyle Schmid, Texas Battle, Lydia Hull, Swen Temmel, John D. Hickman, Sergio Rizzuto, Geoff Reeves, and Tyler Jon Olson. This looks as bland and forgettable as everything Brian A. Miller makes, despite the two leading actors. And the awkward "trailer voice" in this is cringe-worthy. "So much for honor among thieves,...

Stars: Sylvester Stallone, Matthew Modine, Christopher McDonald, Ryan Guzman, Meadow Williams, Colin Egglesfield, Baylee Curran, Jenna Willis, Heather Johansen, Swen Temmel | Written by Mike Maples | Directed by Brian A. Miller
Directed by Brian A. Miller and written by Mike Maples, Backtrace stars one of the most famous actors of all time, Sylvester Stallone and Matthew Modine. Modine plays Macdonald, a bank robber who can’t recall when he hid millions of dollars, and a bunch of people want to know the answer to the riddle. Stallone plays Sykes, a cop who, along with Franks, an FBI agent played by Christopher McDonald, are out for information about what’s going on. The premise is simple, it doesn’t really attempt to be more than it is, and this is, without frills or excuses, an action crime movie. Hell, within the first five minutes there’s been more bullets fired than a Walking Dead finale.
