Maudy Ayunda is an Indonesian actress and singer-songwriter, known for her multifaceted talent. Maudy debuted her acting career as Rena, the female lead in "Untuk Rena" / "Dear Rena" (2005). She then gained recognition with her breakout role in "Perahu Kertas" / "Paper Boat" (2012). Maudy has since starred in a variety of acclaimed films, including "Refrain" (2013), "Habibie & Ainun 3" (2019) and "Losmen Bu Broto" (2021). Exploring a new genre, Maudy will star in "Para Perasuk" (English title: "Levitating"), an upcoming supernatural drama directed by Wregas Bhanuteja, set to release in 2025.
In addition to acting, Maudy is also known for her prominence in the music industry, enhancing several films with original soundtrack such as "Perahu Kertas" OST Perahu Kertas, "Kamu & Kenangan" OST Habibie & Ainun 3, "Pulang" OST Losmen Bu Broto and "Seb'rapa Jauh Ku Melangkah" Bahasa Indonesia Version of Disney OST Moana How Far I'll Go.
With her impressive and versatile body of work, Maudy has received several critical acclaims for her work. In 2022, Maudy won the Most Favourite Supporting Female Role at the Indonesian Movie Actors Awards (IMAA) for her role in Losmen Bu Broto. In the same year, Maudy was nominated at the Festival Film Indonesia (FFI) as the Best Theme Song Creator for "Semakin Jauh" OST Losmen Bu Broto and the Best Female Supporting Character for her role in Losmen Bu Broto.
Maudy is also known for her commitment to education and advocacy, having graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and Stanford with a double degree in Master of Arts (Education) and Master of Business Administration.
