Biography

Johanna Telander is a Finnish-American composer, writer and performer who has written for and performed in Film, TV, Commercials and Theatre. She is likely best known for her debut musical work, Kalevala, the musical. (book, music, lyrics.) Kalevala The Musical's concept album has gained wide international recognition, having been listened to in over 80 countries and having earned thousands of fans worldwide in and outside of theatre communities since its 2022 release. Other career highlights include her performance with Residente and Bad Bunny on the "Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon" as well as appearances as an actress on television shows such as 30Rock. She has also starred opposite Chris R. Notarile in the Blinky Production series "Mr. J" and other similar fan film favorites by the same prolific film maker. In addition to her creative pursuits, Johanna is a hands-on mom, a nature enthusiast and an active supporter of education in her community.
