- John was born in the North Queensland town of Mackay and at the age of 16 he was offered a professional Rugby League contract at the North Queensland Cowboys. After 15 NRL games and 8 years of injuries he hung up his boots to pursue his childhood love of acting. John studied under Damien Rossi and Andrew Buchanan in Brisbane and later moved to Sydney completing 2 courses at Sydney's prestigious National Institue of Dramatic Art. John completed course at North Sydney's The Actors Hub as well as numerous masterclass sessions with renowned casting directors and teachers such as Tom McSweeney and Jose Element. John has appeared in numerous TV commercials, featured in an episode of 'Tricky Business' opposite Lincoln Lewis and in the movie 'Dripping in Chocolate' opposite David Wenham and various installments of 'Deadly Women'. In 2014 John was cast as Tony Cerillo in the Sci-Fi thriller Terminus'directed by award winning film maker Marc Furmie. He was also seen as Donga in the 2016 mini-series 'Hoges' and went on to play Cedric, an ogre, in 'The Bureau of Magcial Things'. John resides in Los Angeles.- IMDb Mini Biography By: John Manning
