Tyler Wilson Schnabel was born in Jacksonville, FL. He is the son of
Harry Schnabel and Jeanell Wilson. He has one brother Harry Schnabel.
Growing up Tyler drawn to sports, playing basketball, baseball, and
football. He also made regular visits to the Alhambra Dinner Theatre
with his family, which is where he was first introduced to theatre and
the art of acting. Once in High School his focus narrowed down to
football and was the starting quarterback and three year letterman,
each letter from a different school. He attended Nease High School for
his freshman and sophomore years of high school, but once Tim Tebow
transfered to Nease Tyler decided to transfer. Tyler's junior year of
high school he attended Episcopal High School, but only stayed one
year. For his senior year he attended Providence High School.
Throughout high school he had taken drama, but it wasn't until
performing in the student ran school chapel services at Providence did
he realize the thrill of performing. Coming upon graduation Tyler had
to decide where to attend college. He had a few football scholarships,
but ended up attending The University of Alabama, where he would hold a
position as an equipment manager for their football team. During his
freshman year at university he decided he wanted to pursue acting. He
was not able to major in Theatre in school, so he decided to study
business. While in school he was a part of the 2009 national
championship football team at Alabama. He graduated with a business
degree in December 2010. The following February he packed his things
and moved across the country to Los Angeles. He immediately began to
take classes and get as much work as possible. In August he began
attending Playhouse West, a well respected actor's training ground.
