Actor John Ritter hoped to realize the same success he had in Three’s Company with his spin-off show Three’s a Crowd. But certain decisions made with the program didn’t sit well with a section of the show’s audience.

Three’s Company enjoyed an incredible run for the eight seasons it ran on air. At its peak, the series was both a ratings and critical juggernaut, earning its cast and crew accolades like the Emmys and Golden Globes. Even after losing one of their key actors, the late Suzanne Somers, the show continued its momentum. Jenilee Harrison was brought on board to pick up where Somers left off, fitting right in with Ritter and Joyce DeWitt.
But Three’s Company lost considerable steam during its final season.

One fictional apartment in Santa Monica, California is a little less funny now. Suzanne Somers passed away at the age of 76 on October 15, 2023. She was one of the main cast members in the 1970s/80s series "Three's Company" alongside John Ritter and Joyce DeWitt, playing the joyful and (as much as I hate this word) ditzy Christmas "Chrissy" Snow. As someone who watched the show as a very tiny person, I've seen most of the episodes. What I didn't know was that Somers was also playing another character, hiding in plain sight the whole time.
"Three's Company" was based on the British show "Man About the House," and ran on ABC from 1977-1984, with Somers playing her role in seasons 1-5, leaving after contract negotiations failed. The show centered around two women, Chrissy Snow and Janet Wood (DeWitt), who lose their roommate and need someone to take over her portion of the rent.

In the finale of Hulu’s “Pam & Tommy,” based on the vastly different experiences of Pamela Anderson Lee and Tommy Lee during their sex tape scandal, Lee’s group Mötley Crüe performs a promotional gig in a Tower Records parking lot, pinned to their “Generation Swine” album. The song they perform is “Crüe-by-numbers,” even if you can’t quite place it. A Shazam tap reveals the song is actually “She Says Yeah Yeah,” and the singers are Sebastian Stan (who plays Lee), Sam Meader and Zack Gold, not Mötley Crüe.
In fact, there aren’t any Mötley Crüe songs in the series, partly due to financial constraints, according to Amanda Krieg Thomas, the show’s music supervisor. Mainly, however, she notes that it never felt like there was a need for one — with the exception of the one scene.

With the entire world trying to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic by implementing lockdowns, American singer Chris Mann has recreated Adele's famous single 'Hello' by giving it a coronavirus twist leaving his fans all around, fascinated.
In Mann?s version, the lyrics take a hilarious turn as the song shows our desperation as we continue to struggle due to ongoing Coronavirus spread by staying home.
In the new video, the Voice finalist can be seen perfectly reenacting Adele?s hit number, which depicts the disconnect she suffered from her past relationship.
The lyrics of the song goes, "Hello from the inside" and "Hello, it?s me. I?m in California dreaming about going out to eat. Just a burger with cheese, or a shaken margarita, baby back ribs from Chili?s."
The hilarious lyrics are teamed up with Mann?s overdramatic acting as he screeches on...

Christina Aguilera probably gets the toughest blogosphere feedback of any coach on The Voice – she’s too mean! she makes it all about herself! she sometimes wears tiny spaceships on her head! — but I’ve got to be honest: More often than not, when Xtina fails to hit her button, I’m in full and enthusiastic agreement.

Not only does a traditional concert honor America's military in general this year, it remembers one of its own.
Charles Durning was a Tony-winning and Oscar-nominated co-star of such projects as "The Sting," "Dog Day Afternoon" and "Tootsie"; a recipient of a Silver Star, a Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts for his World War II service; and a frequent participant in the National Memorial Day Concert. The 24th annual event will recall Durning - who died last Christmas Eve - during its PBS telecast Sunday, May 26 (check local listings).

Las Vegas -- More than a few people have suggested to the producers of the Academy of Country Music Awards that they extend the broadcast delay for Sunday night's show – just in case.
With Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan co-hosting, everyone expects the unexpected – and several off-color, unscripted moments – as country music's biggest cut-ups collide on stage. A recent interview in Nashville with the two, who've given themselves the celebrity couple name "Bluke," veered wildly from a discussion of Bryan's unworthiness to host to crude jokes and Taylor Swift's fans.
"I would tell him to be prepared for the onslaught of hatred that will come from Taylor Swift's fan base if you say any sort of a joke or if she's any part of a punch line in the monologue," Shelton said when asked what advice he'd give Bryan. "By the way, you're getting all those jokes this year.

On Thursday, Usher joined Justin Timberlake and a host of other performers who looked to capitalize on Valentine's Day by pushing out new music and videos. "Go Missin,'" a new Usher track released for free online, features production from perennial hit-maker Diplo, the man behind the mixing boards that birthed gems for M.I.A., Beyonce and Chris Brown, among others.
Releasing songs on the Hallmark holiday is nothing new for Usher, who dropped "Climax" last year on the same date. The R&B crooner has kept busy by hosting "The Voice" and performing at Barack Obama's inauguration. A new album has not yet been been confirmed, but clearly he's itching to produce some music.
As the head of his record label Mad Decent, Diplo's also known for shepherding a blend of dancehall, electronic dance music and hip-hop. If you've seen a "Harlem Shake" video recently, blame Diplo: He pays Baauer's checks.

That said, it hasn’t yet proven itself to be a reliable starmaker. Past Voice winners Javier Colon and Jermaine Paul have had limited success on the national stage, though Paul’s fortunes may change when his debut album drops later this week. Runners up like Dia Frampton and Chris Mann have had slightly more luck, but they’re still nowhere near the level of, say, Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood (let alone Jordin Sparks).

It would have been difficult to imagine at the start of Season Three of The Voice that somehow Trevin Hunte wouldn't be the last he-diva standing, but when the time came last night for Hunte to peace out from the semi-finals, it wasn't much of a surprise. His backstory and tough road to self-confidence played well, but even with his immense pipes, he lacked a little spark. Into the final rounds go Cassadee Pope, Nicholas David and Terry McDermott, or Cass, Nick and Ter as host Carson Daly calls them.

"The Voice" Top 3 were revealed on Tuesday night. Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope of Team Blake are moving on along with Team Cee Lo's Nicholas David.
Another member of Team Cee Lo, Trevin Hunte, was eliminated.
Cassadee and Terry kicked off the performances of the night with a duet of the Of Monsters and Men hit "Little Talks," while Trevin and Nicholas performed the last song of the night. The final two members of Team Cee Lo sang Mariah Carey's classic ballad "Hero" just before Trevin was eliminated.
Three "Voice" alumni also took the stage on Tuesday night. Former Team Cee Lo member Juliet Simms performed her single "Wild Child," looking more like Ashlee Simpson than ever and seemingly inspired by Miley Cyrus' "Can't Be Tamed" music video. Country singer RaeLynn, a former member of Team Blake, also performed her new single "Boyfriend," with her signature flower in her hair.

Tuesday night on The Voice was highlighted by the return of three of last year's talents, way too much conversing with the coaches and a result that was less than surprising.
Which three will be competing in next week's finale? And who fell one step short? Let's recap what all went down on results night on The Voice...
After a recap of Monday's performances, and one of many wordy chats from the coaches on their thoughts and feelings, Cassadee and Terry teamed up for a very nice if less than amazing performance of "Little Talks."
It was then time for the first returning contestant to take the stage. Juliet Simms, although eventually got into a rhythm by the end of her performance, made me wondering at the beginning if she was actually the same girl I was rooting for throughout the entirety of last season.

“Sometimes when we’re at our most vulnerable is when we truly let people in to figure out who we are as artists,” declared Carson Daly at the top of The Voice Season 3 results telecast. Naturally, the super-efficient host’s use of “we” got me wondering if I’d somehow missed an important biographical detail from his past.
Was Carson ever in one of those post-nkotb boy bands that never quite ignited the public’s imagination? (That would imply the guy gets, or has gotten, jiggy!) Does he moonlight as an acoustic troubadour, playing coffee houses up and down the California coastline?...

After Monday night's showing on The Voice it was hard to predict who might be cut during last night's elimination. It seemed impossible that America would send Amanda Brown packing, but that's just what happened, along with teen teammate Melanie Martinez. The poised Brown, who had never so much as sang a pitchy note on the show, seemed a shoo-in for the final four until Monday when Trevin Hunte and Terry McDermott went a-gunning and both wound up on the top of the iTunes chart overnight. Brown's elimination seemed to catch many viewers by surprise,...

Christina Aguilera looks like she wants to make Dez Duron her next big hit! Will Dez Duron & Christina Aguilera Do A Song Together? Christina Aguilera has hit out at the former winners of The Voice after losing her final act. Dez Duron was voted out of the NBC talent competition this week, leaving Aguilera without any contestants in the show. However, the 'Your Body' singer has now told Us Weekly that winning The Voice is no guarantee of success. "[My former act] Chris Mann, prime example," she said. "Came in fourth last year. It's like, ultimately, who's the real winner? "Who's Javier [Colon]? Who's Jermaine [Paul]? At this point, I think it's all about Chris Mann, thank you!" Aguilera added that she believes (more)...

For the third season in a row, Christina Aguilera failed to produce a champion on The Voice. The five-time Grammy winner's final mentee, Dez Duron, was voted off during the Nov. 27 episode. Cody Belew, from Cee Lo Green's team, was also sent home just one week before the quarterfinals. However, winning the show doesn't ensure a contestant will have a successful career in the music industry. "[My former mentee] Chris Mann, prime example. Came in fourth last year. In the world of Season Three of The Voice, with all its curious talents and fierce girls, Dez Duron's elimination was almost a given – he was too bland, too perfect, too smooth. His elimination leaves coach Christina Aguilera with no members left on her team. It seems that her game plan was to go for palatable, appeal to the teenage girl base that does anchor the show – but she misunderstands what a girl wants, what a girl needs. What Team Xtina failed to figure on was that girls would rather...

Yes! Comedy Central has ordered a third season of the amazing Key & Peele. I just wish Comedy Central would do something to guarantee that we have Luther, President Obama's anger translator for the next four years. At this point Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert aren't enough comedy power to make up for the combined awfulness of today's Gop.
I cringed a little when I saw out host Stephanie Miller in a spot asking viewers to give to the Salvation Army (she and fellow Current host Bill Press are competing to raise more money). Then I read that Miller interviewed Major George Hood of the Salvation Army on her show and let him dismiss the organization's anti-gay history without challenge and it made me really sad. John Aravosis of AmericaBlog has collected stories that illustrate why the organization has an anti-gay reputation.

I'm not going to waste a lot of words with a super long intro this week; there's way too much ground to cover. So I'm going to dive right in. I sent out a tweet last week that said "everyone has an opinion". Well, so do I and here's mine:
Christina Aguilera featuring Cee Lo Green, Make the World Move
I realized a thing or two watching this performance. 1) Christina Aguilera is certainly a force to be reckoned with and sang like, "This is why I'm a coach, dammit!" (I will excuse that one note when the balloons fell. No one is perfect.) And 2) Cee Lo can look cool doing absolutely nothing. Christina performed as a sexy Queen of Hearts with a bunch of dancers from a Wonderland rave circa 2001. Cee Lo wore white pajamas. I have no idea what he was doing or why he was there, but I...

We're back! The real news of the week was, of course, Hurricane Sandy -- the largest Atlantic hurricane on record and one that left millions of people across the East Coast without power. But celebrity is as celebrity does, so we're continuing on with our "6 Degrees of Separation" battle, this time with Cma "Song of the Year" winner Blake Shelton and man-of-terrible-Halloween-costume-choices, Chris Brown. (Seriously, an Arab terrorist?)
Let's see how else these two trending musicians are connected in Hollwood.
Who: Chris Brown, Blake Shelton
Chris Brown collaborated on "One of Those Nights" (2012) with will.i.am,
who co-wrote the single "Check It Out" (2010) with Nicki Minaj,
who was featured on the song "Woohoo" (2010) by Christina Aguilera,
who co-stars as a fellow judge in NBC's "The Voice" with Blake Shelton!

Nashville, Tenn. — Winning the Country Music Association Awards' entertainer of the year is a top honor and always counted as a career high point. But for Blake Shelton it wasn't even the most memorable moment of an amazing Thursday night.
"The Voice" star took home three trophies, including his third straight male vocalist victory, but nothing compared to sharing song of the year with wife Miranda Lambert. The pair wrote "Over You," about the death of Shelton's brother Richie in a car wreck 15 years ago. He said that trophy will always have a special place in their Oklahoma home.
"For me as a songwriter that is as personal as I can get," Shelton said. "So that songwriter award, song of the year award, it will have its own shelf. It will have spotlights on it and an alarm and everything. Trip wires and there will be a land mine if you walk towards it.
