Jason Kokkinakis was born in Athens, Greece on 6th of June 1984. He is the younger brother of the writer Romanos Kokkinakis. He started out as a photographer, but soon developed into a visionary director of photography. He has worked as a light designer for more than 7 years in theaters in Greece, before moving to London to become a DoP. He graduated student of the year from the London Film Academy and has worked in several films in the lighting and camera department ever since.
