“It’s a new day, yes it is.” When WWE fans hear those words, they come to their feet with excitement knowing Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods are headed to the ring. The charismatic trio, collectively known as The New Day, remains one of the most popular acts in pro wrestling history. Their unicorn branded merchandise has been best-sellers. And you know you’ve made it when you have your own “Booty-o’s” cereal. In a world where pretty much every tag team or group is eventually broken up, these brothers have been able to maintain an unbreakable bond. This fact is not lost on Woods as The New Day celebrates a decade together. We caught up with the Raw superstar to reflect on their journey and legacy. When The New Day first came on the scene, I’ll be honest in saying I wasn’t sure this was going to last.

Match #1: Damian Priest def. Carlito The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Moments after Damian Priest defeated Carlito with South of Heaven, The Judgment Day attacked their former friend. In response, Rhea Ripley emerged to help Priest repel the onslaught.

After The New Day stood at ringside to watch Odyssey Jones win his Raw in-ring debut with the Spinning Sidewalk Slam against the Performance Center’s Vincent Winey, Karrion Kross and The Final Testament emerged to cast doubt on what the mammoth Superstar means to the future of The Power of Positivity by claiming that Jones was there to replace Xavier Woods. Sheamus’ first match back on Raw was a banger. Picking up where he left off, The Celtic Warrior dropped Ivar with a stunning White Noise from the middle rope as the crowd roared in approval. The Celtic Warrior had his work cut out for him, however, as Ivar nearly squashed Sheamus with a huge splash from the top rope. Sheamus kicked out, screamed at the Viking Raider for more, and hit an epic Brogue Kick to claim a huge win in his return. Monday nights are fight nights, fella!

While the wrestling world has seen a lot of magnificent wins and heartbreaking losses, it has also seen some of its best wrestlers of all time getting brutally injured during the fights. And yes, even though it is scripted beforehand, the fighters do, indeed, get hurt during the process nonetheless. Like the renowned professional wrestler and former WWE Champion, Ettore “Big E” Ewen.

In fact, sometimes fighters’ injuries get so severe that they end up hindering their fights, just like the crippling injury Ewen suffered in his neck two years ago back in 2022. And while the widely loved star from the wrestling world hasn’t returned to the ring since then, there may be further bad news awaiting fans as per the most recent updates he provided on his health and recovery.

Match 1: Women’s World Championship – Rhea Ripley def. Becky Lynch The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Women’s World Championship will remain with Rhea Ripley as Mami defeated The Man to kick off WrestleMania Xl Saturday. Ripley was on a mission not to just defeat Becky Lynch, but humiliate her with an incredible strength advantage. Ever the fighter, Lynch refused to be dominated, battling back in typical Lasskicker fashion. The Man finally gained the upper hand thanks to her resiliency, punctuated by a huge leg drop to the back of the champion’s head, but the power of Ripley allowed her to dump the challenger on her head. Lynch managed to lock in the Dis-arm-her on the injured elbow of Mami,...

Apart from the thrilling matches at WWE, the wrestling industry has often made headlines for lacking female referees, until Jessika Carr made her debut in 2019 during SmackDown. Being the first full-time female referee, Carr has been working with WWE for a long time.
Damian Priest | image: Wikimedia Commons
However, despite her unbiased judgment and help, she seems to lack her deserving credit. Take the recent example of WrestleMania 40 when a few fans noticed Jessica Carr helping Damian Priest during the Six-Pack Tag Team Ladder Match. Apparently, Carr saved Priest from a scary botch by informing him about his ladder. And yet, rarely anyone offered Carr the credit for helping.
Jessica Carr Went Unnoticed Despite Saving Damian Priest
Making her debut in 2019 during Friday Night SmackDown, Jessica Carr became WWE’s first full-time female referee. Ever since then she has been appearing during several matches and dedicating herself to the wrestling universe.

Brutus and Julius Creed wowed the WWE Universe, especially when Julius lifted from his knees into a standing vertical suplex, showcasing his raw strength. The Creed Brothers continued their punishing attack, sending Ciampa through the announce table area and leaving Pat McAfee speechless. Julius and Brutus caught their opponents with tandem ankle locks, but Ciampa and Gargano countered into a Sicilian Stretch and Gargano Escape. Gargano scored the pinfall after both teams went back-and-forth with pin attempts.

WWE 2K24 finally launched recently, and it is definitely making all the wrestling fans happy. Its updated roaster and its incredible visuals are no doubt something to be excited about. Besides those obvious changes, this game also brings a bunch of new game modes, such as the ambulance match, and new moves, such as the ability to throw weapons at opponents.
While all these things no doubt make this game something that every WWE fan out there must have, just like every previous game in this long-running series, there’s something that not every fan would agree with, and that is the overall ratings of some of the wrestlers. Here are five WWE stars who deserve a better rating in WWE 2K24.

The A-Lister landed the Skull-Crushing Finale on The King of Strong Style, but Nakamura wisely put his foot on the ropes. Nakamura then followed up with the Kinshasa for the victory.

Nick Cannon set social media ablaze earlier this week when he revealed a big announcement was coming, ultimately quashing suspicions he was announcing he’d fathered his 13th child by revealing he’ll be hosting a new Kevin Hart-hosted game show called “Who’s Having My Baby?”, in which female contestants compete to see which of them will be lucky enough to be the next woman for Cannon to impregnate.
“Expect some big news tomorrow … ,” he wrote on Monday in an Instagram Story post.

That was followed by his “Who’s Having My Baby?” reveal.
“You’re going to get some contestants that want to have your baby,” Hart explained in a short promo clip for the E! game show that was shared by Cannon on Instagram on Tuesday.

The show, which premieres April 6, will see the duo take their “friendly feud” up a notch, with Hart and Cannon branching out to also include some of their famous friends.
Episodes will see stars “planning and perpetrating some of the wildest and most viral pranks on each other,” according to the network, with co-hosts Cannon and Hart selecting the winner of each prank war. Each prank is expected to be more elaborate than the next. The show’s celebrity participants will include Anthony Anderson, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Lil Duval, Big E, Fantasia, Tiffany Haddish, Taraji P. Henson, Lil Jon, Kofi Kingston, Ludacris, Joel McHale, Killer Mike, Chance the Rapper, T-Pain, Robin Thicke, T.I. and Xavier Woods.

WWE’s annual Money in the Bank pay-per-view will take place in The O2 arena in London on July 1, 2023, the company announced Thursday.
This will mark the first time WWE has held a major live event in London since 2002. Most recently, the sports entertainment giant held the Clash at the Castle pay-per-view in Manchester in September 2022, which was itself the first WWE pay-per-view in the UK since 2003.
“The O2 is one of the world’s premier venues and the perfect home for Money In The Bank,” said Dan Ventrelle, executive vice president of talent for WWE. “We are excited to bring one of our ‘Big 5’ events to the UK and look forward to welcoming the WWE Universe to London on July 1.”
The focal point of the Money in the Bank pay-per-view is the men and women’s ladder matches, with the winners of those matches each winning a Money in the Bank briefcase.

Roxanne Perez and Zoey Stark started the first-ever Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match with both wrestlers looking to gain an early advantage in the grueling affair. Match #1: Ludwig Kaiser def. Shinsuke Nakamura The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Two weeks after Ludwig Kaiser was left with bruises on his chest from Gunther’s vicious chops due to his loss against The King of Strong Style, Kaiser battled Nakamura once more. Nakamura kept control in the early going before Kaiser took advantage of his surroundings, sending Nakamura into the ring steps outside. Nakamura regained the upper hand until Gunther got involved, striking Nakamura while the referee’s back was turned, which gave Kaiser the chance to snatch the victory. After the match, Kaiser was...

The greatest accomplishment Triple H has under his belt since taking on a senior talent role behind the scenes is undoubtedly masterminding the rebirth of Nxt. Formerly a rather lacklustre reality show format, a few years ago WWE repackaged into a fantastic training ground for the company’s up and comers. With their own space to grow and develop characters in front of a crowd, Nxt has turned out some of the most popular and entertaining WWE Superstars to make the jump to Raw and Smackdown. The Wyatt Family, The Shield, Big E Langston and Paige are all Nxt graduates who are currently making waves on WWE’s flagship shows.
With that in mind, Nxt is sure to have a greater presence than ever before in the WWE video games starting with WWE 2K15 at the end of this year. Here’s our pick of the top ten Nxt stars...

A lot of people have been talking about Benjamin Morris’ 538 piece, “Are Pro Wrestlers Dying at an Unusual Rate?”

The original concept of Survivor Series when it was created way back in 1987 was to showcase the tag team element of the then WWF. Since then there have been many memorable moments created at Survivor Series, including the first ever casket match in 1992 (called the coffin match originally), the infamous Montreal Screwjob of 1997 and the introduction of the Elimination Chamber in 2002, which has become a pay per view in its own right these days.
With tag teams having become more popular in WWE again in recent months, particularly teams like the Usos, Los Matadores, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes and Goldust and the return of the New Age Outlaws, you’d have thought that WWE would be in a great position to pair some of them up and create the previously awesome multi-man matches that Survivor Series is known for. What’s in a name? In the wrestling business, a name means a lot. A good name could make a performer stand out from his or her peers while a bad name could kill your career faster than you can say Mantaur or Beaver Cleavage. It’s important to have a name that sounds like a star or at least doesn’t sound awful.
Recently in WWE, they have decided to change the names of two current midcard stars. One of them is actually going to be in the main event of Elimination Chamber. Big E. Langston is currently the proud owner of the prestigious Intercontinental Championship. Based on the title’s legacy and reputation for creating megastars, we can only hope that Langston has a long successful career ahead of him.
Right now, he’s only 27 years old and has already shown the WWE and the WWE Universe the awesome feats he’s capable of. While many superstars such as Cm Punk and John Cena have been in the public eye for years now, not much is known about Big E. Langston. He debuted a little over 4 years ago and yet most people know only what the WWE chooses to tell them about Big E.
Let’s take a step outside the squared circle and take a look at some interesting facts you might not know about the Florida native.

The month of February is Black History Month and like usual, World Wrestling Entertainment will honor their performers throughout the month. We saw on Raw that they honored WWE Hall of Famer Ernie Ladd, who was a star in the NFL before his WWE career.
There are many great black wrestlers in the history of wrestling and more specifically WWE, who helped pave the way for the stars of today.
The current WWE roster has a lot of talented black performers like Big E Langston, Kofi Kingston, Titus O’Neil, Darren Young and more that look up to the men on this list and hope to one day follow in their Hall of Fame footsteps.

Welcome to this week’s write-up of Monday Night Raw.
The show begins with Randy Orton making his way to the ring, the WWE World Heavyweight Titles around his shoulders, to a chorus of boo’s from the fans. The announcers talk about Randy Orton defending his title against five other men inside the Elimination Chamber at the next PPV. Orton talks about it too, and is greeted with a loud crowd chant of “Cm Punk” who has recently been involved in a controversy in WWE after rumours emerged that he has “walked out” in the past week. Orton says he will beat Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Antonio Cesaro, Christian and Sheamus in said match at the PPV and go on to defeat Batista in the main event of WrestleMania. The fans continue to boo Orton. Triple H’s music plays and “The Game” makes his way out alongside Stephanie McMahon.

WWE’s next PPV Elimination Chamber takes place on Sunday February 23rd in Minneapolis, Minnesota and the card is now starting to take shape.
This past Monday on Raw, Stephanie McMahon informed us that Randy Orton would defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship inside the Chamber. We also found out that three of his opponents in that match would be John Cena, Sheamus and Daniel Bryan.
This week on Smackdown, we found out who the other two men would be in the Chamber match. Antonio Cesaro beat Dolph Ziggler in the first qualifier and Christian defeated Jack Swagger in the other one. While neither is likely to win the Chamber match and there’s a chance that Christian could be replaced by somebody else (that’s a rumor), both men are great in-ring performers that will definitely improve the quality of the match.

Who will leave WWE’s Elimination Chamber...

Tonight, Brock Lesnar is scheduled to face the Big Show, in a mammoth showdown between the two, at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Rather than become an entrant for the Royal Rumble and aim to headline Wrestlemania 30 as a challenger for the WWE title, Lesnar would bypass the process and proclaim himself the number one contender for the WWE title.
His agent, Paul Heyman, would declare that no one in the WWE roster could defeat Brock Lesnar. This prompted the likes of Mark Henry and Big Show to step up to the challenge, only for one to be destroyed by Lesnar, whilst the other would have him fleeing. As the weeks progressed the Big Show would challenge Lesnar to a match at the Royal Rumble. Lesnar accepts and then tangle himself into a meaningless feud with the Big Show.
Maybe the WWE plans to sacrifice Big Show to rebuild Lesnar’s monster aura.

The annual Royal Rumble match, held in January, is one of the highlights of the wrestling year, as thirty men from an assortment of different spots on the card enter the ring and participate in an hour of relentless and unpredictable action until just one man is left standing, receiving a title match at Wrestlemania for his troubles.
The brainchild of Pat Patterson, the match was first held in 1988, where just twenty men competed and ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan emerged victorious. Twenty six years later, the match dawns upon us once again.
Though the current roster has an abundance of talent, this has not always been the case, and in years gone by the WWE has had to scrape the very bottom of the barrel on occasion (who can forget the appearances of Squat Team Member #1 and Squat Team Member #2 in 1996!) to fill the Rumble match with thirty participants. As a result of this,...

When Big E Langston pulls down the straps of his singlet, the crowd goes nuts. Everyone loves The Big Finish, but that’s because everyone loves Big E Langston. He has endeared himself to us by virtue of being so darn funny, wrapped up in a muscular package. In a relatively short amount of time, Big E has proven that he can stand alone, after a solid run as Dolph and Aj’s third. While Aj is also holding her own as the longest-reigning Divas champ, Dolph has struggled to stay in the spotlight. Big E was a perfect foil for them, but now he hasn’t looked back.
When he won the Intercontinental Title from Curtis Axel in November, it was a big moment for the witty big guy. But like all title wins, fans wondered if it would...

Welcome back to the review and results write-up of WWE Raw, apologies for not providing a review for a couple of weeks, but here we are, back as normal.
Raw opens with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon standing in the ring, they talk about the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV and the match that will take place between the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton, and the challenger, John Cena. Triple H begins to announce the return of a superstar but Orton instead comes out to a smattering of booes from the fans. Orton confronts Stephanie and Hunter about their poor treatment of him in recent weeks and how he should have been protected more by them and not put in matches with the likes of Cena. Triple H more or less tells Orton to “man up” and they book a rematch from last week between Orton and Kofi. For those who don’t know,...

Previously on: With the "Royal Rumble" closing in, Daniel Bryan shed his affiliation with the Wyatt Family and got what might be the biggest audience reaction of his career. Bryan has become the most popular guy in WWE.
The big news: Batista is back on "WWE Raw" and he knows exactly what he wants. The show opened with Randy Orton whining to The Authority in the ring, only for Batista to make his entrance. He tells Orton his goal is simple: Win the "Royal Rumble" and headline "Wrestlemania," becoming WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the process. He doesn't care who is across the ring from him.
Batista also follows up on the feud he didn't know he was in with Alberto Del Rio. After Del Rio's match with Rey Mysterio, Batista made his way to the ring once again and laid Alberto out with a spinebuster and a Batistabomb. That takes care of that.

With less than two weeks to go until the Royal Rumble we are starting to hear who will be competing in the main event. Fandango and Wade Barrett are the latest names to be confirmed by WWE for the 30-man epic.
The latest announcements will come as reassurance to some fans who had been griping at the lack of talent advertised so far. Many people hold the belief that WWE need to be doing a better job promoting their pay per views ahead of time – in the case of Royal Rumble, however, it really sells itself, and this is going to be one of the most exciting matches of the entire year.
