Sarah Nevada Grether is a US-American/German actress, dancer, singer, producer and choreographer known for her versatility across film, dance, and performance. She gained widespread recognition with her lead role in Grand Jeté (2022), directed by Isabelle Stever, which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and earned her a 2023 Best Actress nomination from the German Film Critics Association. Her upcoming film work, mentored by Wim Wenders, is set to debut at the 2025 Berlin Film Festival.
Trained in California and at Hamburg's National Ballet School under John Neumeier, Sarah Nevada performed as a soloist with the Stuttgart Ballet (2001-2006), working with renowned choreographers like Christian Spuck, Hans van Manen, John Neumeier and Wayne McGregor. Her film debut came in 2008 with The Lost by Reynold Reynolds, where she played the lead role of Lilly.
Sarah Nevada's collaborations span celebrated film, dance and opera directors such as Ann Oren, Timo Jacobs, Ismael Ivo, Marco Carniti, Michel Comte, Nathan Buck, Constanza Macras, Klaus Obermaier, Rolando Villazón and Claus Guth. She showcased her comedic talent in Marlene Melchior's web series Bigheads, danced and acted in Jeremy Shaw's celebrated work, Phase Shifting Index which premiered in 2020 at the Centre Pompidou in Paris and is now a permanent exhibit at Berlin's Hamburger Bahnhof, Nationalgalerie. She is a co-collaborator of Salon K Experience and has produced innovative immersive dance-theater projects of her own, including Head Dance with Sky Mics and Skin Deep in Zaranya with Nikolas Schreck.
