The newest series on the Fullscreen subscription video on-demand (Svod) service is something a little different. It’s called The Deleted, it serves as the directorial debut of American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis, and it features social media stars like Nash Grier and Amanda Cerny.
The Deleted, which was announced alongside the Fullscreen Svod service back in April, is Easton Ellis’ latest attempt to offer a satirical comment on vice and youth culture. This time, his plot is routed through a mysterious cult; the show’s protagonists, including Grier’s character, are escapees of that cult who find themselves addicted to drugs. If you’ve ever read one of Easton Ellis’ books, you’ll know his work tends to be rather graphic, and as The Deleted’s poster (pictured above) shows, this is no exception.

Bella Thorne just can't seem to fend off the bad guys. The 18-year-old actress took to Instagram on Tuesday, showing off her toned abs - and her apparently ineffective cell phone case. "I guess my f--- boy repellent didn't work... #yougetme #whosthat #hescooltho #castmates," Thorne captioned the photo of herself donning a confused expression as her You Get Me co-star Taylor John Smith lurked behind her. Along with Smith's silly expression and Thorne's fit physique, the actress's comedic phone case was on full display. The pink case flashed the words, "f---boy repellent," and showed a white spray bottle. (A "f---boy...

Indie film distributor GoDigital announced the promotion of Nick Soares to CEO at the Sundance Film Festival this week.
GoDigital, a Los Angeles-based film distributor specializing in tailored digital and day-and-date releases for quality independent and festival-driven content, also announced the appointment of Kevin Iwashina as Vice Chairman of the Board. Soares was formerly serving as CEO of GoDigital subsidiary Distribber.com, a service that has released thousands of independent films on major digital platforms.
Resurrection of Jake the Snake, directed by Steve Yu, is the most recent release from the company. The title is currently topping the charts on the iTunes documentary section. But in terms of something with which online video audiences may be more familiar, GoDigital partnered with Fullscreen Films to release digital sensation Nash Grier’s The Outfield back in November 2015. That title debuted number one spot on the iTunes drama and indie movie charts.

Ariel Winter has one word for Nash Grier ... well, three actually: Ridiculous, irresponsible and ignorant.
The Modern Family star, 17, revisited her war of words with 18-year-old Vine personality, whom she blasted on Jan. 12 for creating videos featuring homophobic, racially derogatory and misogynist jokes.
The Talk co-host Aisha Tyler asked Winter to elaborate on Tuesday, and the actress said, "It's so ridiculous that he has fans because there are so many young people that look up to him."
She continued, "It's so irresponsible and also completely ignorant of him to be posting things that he knows nothing about."

Ariel Winter has a clear message for Nash Grier.
When the mega-popular 18-year-old Viner asked his fans to post their favorite video with #FavNashVid, the Modern Family star reminded everyone of Grier's most controversial moments.
"#FavNashVid that one time when he was just super homophobic and ignorant? #whydoyouhavefans," Winter wrote on Saturday, referring to an offensive Vine the teen posted four years ago.
In the referenced sketch, Grier responded to a TV ad for the HIV test OraQuick that says getting tested "is not a gay thing" by turning the camera on himself and screaming, "Yes it is, f--!"

Why does it never fail to water our eyes when Vin Diesel honors Paul Walker? He did it again last night at the People's Choice Awards, when giving a lengthy acceptance speech for "Furious 7," which won two awards. Vin name dropped the late actor, whom he has called his brother, and at the end of the speech he sang a verse from the film's end song, "See You Again."
Here's his full speech:

The PCAs are sort of the start of awards season, but things don't really kick off until this Sunday's Golden Globes. There was a stage-crasher promoting a new album (that's him below), and Dakota Johnson talked about her boobs, but otherwise the 2016 PCAs just stuck with the tradition of honoring celebs...

On April 30, 2015, John Green took the stage at Madison Square Garden and addressed a theater full of advertising executives. Green, best known as the author of beloved novels like The Fault In Our Stars, was one of the content creators YouTube had chosen to represent it at its yearly Brandcast, when it tells advertisers why its pre-roll ads, brand integrations, and sponsorships are worthwhile investments. The Vlogbrothers co-host is a prominent figure within the YouTube community, and he arrived with a simple goal: He wanted to warn the assembled advertisers about the potential consequences they would face should they choose to ignore the widening appeal of the homegrown online video community.
“They’re doing live events and publishing books; they’re crowd-funding and producing albums and getting grants from nonprofit organizations,” Green said of his fellow creators. “In short, they’re building a world where they don’t have to depend on advertisers.

In 2015, for the second year in a row, digital media celebrities proved they have enough clout to support their own star vehicles. Young, influential creators like Kian Lawley and Nash Grier led feature-length films, and their fans flocked to those films en masse, pushing them to top positions on the various iTunes charts.
As you might imagine, the emergence of these fan-supported movies has led to significant developments on the business side of things, with companies like Supergravity Pictures emerging to support the growing industry. The latest newcomer looking for a piece of the pie is Digital Riot, which will make movies aimed at social media superfans.
Digital Riot is led by Doug Barry, an executive with experience at Turner and Electronic Arts, as well as film producer John Baldecchi, who serves as the nascent company’s CEO. The goal is to team up with both digital media stars and...

For some film buffs, yesterday’s Golden Globe nominations marked the first important event of the annual awards season, which will lead up to the Academy Awards on February 28th. As per usual, online ticketing site and digital video publisher Fandango is taking awards season very seriously, and this year, it is getting some help from a major fashion publication. Fandango and InStyle will release a special edition of the former company’s I Love Movies web series, in which notable individuals will comment on the style within their favorite films.
I Love Movies, which launched earlier in 2015, asks its guests to talk about the flicks that have had the biggest impact on their lives. Here’s one of the recent episodes, featuring social media star Nash Grier:
