Solmyra Araiza

Solmyra Araiza was born in El Monte, California to parents of Mexican origin. They moved to Pomona, CA when she was 4 years old, so she was mostly raised there. Her first language was Spanish but quickly picked up English in elementary school, making her fluent in both languages. She has been acting since a young age but it wasn't until she got into the BFA Acting program at the University of California, Santa Barbara, that she began to truly learn and understand the art of acting. During her time at the program, she especially enjoyed learning about Shakespeare and performing his work as Rosalind, Lady Macbeth, and Queen Margaret to name a few. Since graduating in 2016, she has pursued an acting career in Los Angeles, focusing for now on film, TV, and commercials, but still does theater when she can.
