Ajit Ray was born on 29 June 1938 in Rangpur, Bengal Presidency, British India [now in Rangpur, Bangladesh]. He is known for Songram (1974) and Jibon Theke Neya (1970). He died on 4 September 2011 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
