Ashley Ann Wool was born in Mount Vernon, New York. She attended Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak, New York and subsequently attended the State University of New York at Geneseo where she was one of five students in the school's inaugural class of musical theatre majors, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. While attending college she recorded an independent EP, Not Otherwise Specified, and performed her original music at various school events. Ashley turned her focus to acting after college and has since built a dynamic resume of critically-acclaimed performances in the NYC and tri-state area, most recently originating the role of Jessica in the critically-acclaimed new musical How to Dance in Ohio. She also received an OnStage Critics Award nomination for playing Wednesday Addams in the Westchester regional premiere of The Addams Family and was a BroadwayWorld Award First Runner-Up for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role as Simon Zealotes in Jesus Christ Superstar with Madison Lyric Stage. Other favorite roles include Evita in Evita, Amy in Company, and Kira/Clio in Xanadu. Ashley returned to music officially in 2020 with the release of her singles "Starving Artist," "Automatoronic," and "Half of My Life."
