Adam Sandler and Columbia Pictures bought the rights to make an American film adaption of this shortly after its original release, though it's unknown if the project will ever see the light of day.

The call signal sounds from their radios are wrong. The Swedish Police and Rescue services use two different radio systems (when the film was made. They are now changing to a TETRA system). The S80 is only used by the Police in the three biggest cities. The S70 is used by everyone, (Police, Rescue, SAR, Mil etc) everywhere else. Since the film is "far from everything" they should use the S70 system but the sounds are from a S80 system.
