Diner waitress Olive Oyl sings the title song. Popeye and Bluto are inspired to go to Wimpy's barber shop, but he's out getting shaved, so Popeye shaves Bluto, then makes the mistake of letting Bluto go after him with a straight razor in his hand.
It's a well-done episode of the Fleischers' series of Popeye cartoons. By this point, he was their cartoon star; Betty Boop had gone down drastically with the imposition of the Production Code. The gags are solid, if not among the best of the series, and fans of Popeye cartoons should enjoy themselves with this solid entry.
Although Wimpy doesn't make an appearance, George W. Geezil shows up from Segar's THIMBLE THEATER cartoon.
