Warning: Spoilers
Oh look, A Kind of Spark is a TV show now. I read and enjoyed the book with the same name. I was hoping that it would be even better than the book or at least do it justice. I delighted myself in watching the TV show but I thought it could use some improvements here and there. It starts with a person with autism named Addie who just moved to a new school and I liked that it shows how much harder life is for a person with autism compared to a neurotypical one. The acting got the job done. However, I found some characters in the historical part of A Kind of Spark hard to believe. At least the show is faithful to the book by including scenes like the ending where a memorial is installed and the confrontation with the ableist teacher.

To summarise, A Kind of Spark is a TV show that is much like its book predecessor with some creative liberties taken, but with some improvements, it could be even better.
