Good Series

I bought the DVD of this western tv series from the fifties and loved it. Jim Davis as the railroad detective was great as well as the two female detectives who rode with him. Also so good was the music. Very dramatic and it added to the drama, tension of each story told. This was sort of educational as the characters were real but those who created the series & wrote the stories took liberties with tales I guess to make them entertaining. What was funny was they obviously used the same film footage of the train as riding the rail. Would recommend highly for good entertainment. Interesting fact: Slim Pickens, this was his first tv role 1954-1955. He had to decide on a fake name to sign fake checks so he chose Jack Monroe. 20 years later he guest started on Mary Tyler Moore's show as WJM tv station owner Wild Jack Monroe. Enjoy the show.
