"Why Him" is a movie with jokes that actually got me to laugh.
I like the concept of a programmer/hermit (Laird) getting with a smart girl from Stanford (Stephanie) and making a first impression to her parents, which is an absolute failure.
There's a fair bit of sex scenes and profanity (Laird's swearing, especially when unintended, is entertaining) so don't watch this with your children. While a comedy, not a comedy for the whole family.
However, I don't really like any other aspects. The plot is sloppy and repetitive, and the whole film centers around 1 day or so. Camerawork could have been better executed.
Sending my love to Gustav (especially the actor).
