I honestly feel it is my duty to review this show and warn people about how awful it is before they make the same mistake I did and waste valuable time on watching it. I didn't even have an account before I came to write this review. I made one just so I could warn people. That is how bad it is.
After being shocked on a daily basis by the horrendous adverts for this show on Comedy Central, I started to think that there's no way it could really be that bad or it wouldn't have made it to television, right? Oh how wrong I was. I watched an episode and had to turn it off after about 15 minutes because I was afraid of having a stroke from how hard I was cringing. This show is comprised of dire, recycled, cheesy-American-sitcom-esque jokes strung together by acting that I can't actually believe is legally allowed. I've had near death experiences more enjoyable than sitting through a full episode of this. I am saddened that the people at Comedy Central have decided to reward us for years of watching their channel by punishing us with this tragic show. Please, switch the channel while you can. It's not too late.

This is one of the worst shows I ever had to see 10 minutes of. Comedy Central's adverts for the show weren't much, so I had to view it to confirm my suspicions.
Plot: non-existent. Acting skills: Absent. Just because the chewed-out jokes are being told with an English accent doesn't make them funny again. The girls in the show are just "eye-candy", but I'd suggest they replace them with a pot of flowers because flowers are less painful to watch and a bouquet may actually have more acting talent than them.
This isn't the first time CC punishes it's viewers with such a horrendous show, but I hope it will be the last. If someone from Comedy Central were to read this, I urge him/her to refer your employers to IMDb before airing such a crap show.

I'm in between the two other reviewers. I think some of this is very funny, the guy who plays Toby particularly so.on the other hand it certainly lacks something. I struggle a lot with the girl who plays Poppy, she's too over the top, and not remotely funny. I think they need more locations, just the flat, or the office is boring. A lot of the jokes have been done before, and better. I wonder why we can't do great comedy these days? Or am I too used to the high budget American ones? A lot of the dialog seems forced, too. The actual concept is a good idea, just the execution fails. Not sure if this will make a second series without a lot of tweaking, and replacing the 2 main female cast members. It needs a faster pace, more variety, and a plot. I'll keep watching, but it certainly isn't Only fools and Horses.

I LOVED this show!! Everyone I showed it to loved it as well! I was shocked when it didn't come back for series 2!! This show brought me many laughters and I could watch it over and over again!! I could not believe it when I look at the ratings and reviews, they must not have been watching the same show!! Thanks to this show as well I have found loads of music by Johnny Flynn that I LOVE and listen to very often, when cooking, revising or just wanting to hear his lovely voice!! He is a very talented guy and it's amazing and I love him!! Also watching interviews of him afterwords seeing he is nothing like Toby, he seems shy, quite and modest which show great acting talent! So, I don't know what everyone else was watching but this show is brilliant and clever and I loved it very much!

Old fashioned in the extreme - yes
Corny - yes
Flat dialogue - yes
Lame direction - yes
Would I look at this again - YOU BET
Why - Because Johnny Flynn is clowning his heart out for us
Result - wouldn't have missed it for the world.
It's the practice run for Scrotal Recall
Every time it's back on air I sit back for my guilty guilty pleasure and another look at Toby's wardrobe.
