Extremely random, weird and so-and-so funny, "Get a Grip" presents a very young Tom Hardy playing a wannabe promising rapper who's trying to enter the music business,
at the same time he deals with relatives and friends who don't trust his talents. Well, Hardy does show some rapping skills but his rapid fire delivery needed a punch up.
The third act is the funniest, which revolves on a difficult situation faced by the artist as he wakes up to the most awaited day to perform on stage and someone (or maybe
himself) stuck a long wig on his head. What to do? Drastic measure ahead and the short comes with the warning of a sequel that never got made. Hardy is always fun to watch
(except "Capone") and he shows a great range in this peculiar short. Amusing moments but nothing extra to show or say. 6/10.
