One of those tv shows that makes me miss gossip girl. Definitely dramatic and twisty in one of those highschool drama ways, but sophisticated. And reppin ATL...? I love it!!!

The new Kristal is absolutely terrible. She can't act and is beyond annoying.

I have just finished this show and I really enjoyed it. I had no idea what to expect and it exceeded expectations.
I hadn't seen many of the actors/actresses before. The only one I had seen was Elizabeth Gillies in Victorious and she is what makes this show so good in my opinion.
The ending was done brilliantly but I don't want to wait 3 months to find out what happened. Such a cliffhanger.

The portraition of Fallon is amazing - its been years since Ive been this hooked on a tv-show. Especially the chemistry between Liz Gillies and Adam Huber is brilliant and everytime they appear on the screen togehter, the episodes gets 10 times better. Just brilliant.

But is it the most trashy fun a girl can have? Certainly!
It's deliciously soapy in the most "these messy people deserve none of the luxuries they have but ohhhh is it great to watch the nonsense".
It's horny, it's messy, people die and come back all the time, you'll get your fill of big houses and beautiful clothes, and by the time you reach the second season, you'll have the phrase "I did this to protect my family" tattooed permanently on your brain.
The kind of TV show you need to turn your critical thinking off to enjoy and know that everyone you root for is inevitably in the wrong more times than you can count. Fun! :)

I m from the older generation who sat home to watch Dynasty decades ago.
Out of curiousity I start watching the new series and I enjoyed it.
Since Alexis made her entry the show really started.
Without that character there is no Dynasty.
The casting of Fallon is excellent, I really like her personication of the old Fallon.
Forget the old Dynasty and for tv that has no meaning and message it 's great to watch this to set your mind of things

I was an avid fan of the original series. I started watching the reboot to see how it compared, it doesn't even come close. Grant Show does a decent job of portraying "Blake", Elizabeth Gillies does a great job as "Fallon", James MacKay is terrible as "Steven", Nicolette Sheridan as "Alexis" is probably the only actress that could even remotely come close to Joan Collins' portrayal, James Adegoke as "Jeff" is terrible and while I like Nathalie Kelley as an actress the writers version of "Krystle" is the worst. I could go on with the cast alone but why. The storylines are ridiculous. Don't bother.

Predictable. Very very predictable. It almost bores you. Also, there is so much unnecessary drama and fighting, yeah, shows should be dramatic, but there are so many pointless things. I like the characters and fell in love with Steven and Cristal Flores (Celia Machado) but in season two, crystal is leaving and Steven is leaving. Also, Season Two is a huge disappointment compared to season one. Replacing someone so randomly isn't good. And the plot got so boring. But still, it was okay. It was nice-ish. A good show to waste some time or when you have nothing else to watch.
Season 1 was exciting, the right Alexis and Krystle. Season 2 was ok. Season 3 is stupid and kinda sloppy written. Boring storyline and the twists are missing. The Deveraux-family is really boring and not interesting characters.
I love this show and the actors!!! I really cannot get enough, I only watch one show a week and right now this is the show that takes that spot. Totally addicting, guilty pleasure. I love the costuming, the story line is fantastic and binge-worthy. Again I love the actors and main characters, SO happy season 2 was green lighted.

Just watched the pilot of this and I don't get to whom it is addressed...
Is it the past Audience? Who can recognize Bill Conti's theme played in the piano by a young Steven Carrington and know the characters already? I highly doubted since that audience is around 65-70 y.o. and can't understand and relate with the "modern" direction and editing and music of the 2017's version.
Is it a new Audience? Then why bother with this premise. Reviving an old series which was heavily based on the personas of actors like John Forsythe, Joan Collins and Linda Evans. The "aristocrat" look, without having similar actors to work with.
Anyway, such a reboot is a waste of time, in my opinion. It is basically realized because maybe the inspiration hit a ceiling and we live in the age of old reboots.
As a show its too light to watch. Too pseudo-arrogant and pretentious. None of the actual billionaires I watch interviews and such, are emphasizing words like in this show. "It is a deal of 500 MIIILLL-ion dollars", like a game show host or like in an advertisement.
And it tries too hard to "play" with the audience. like in the revelation/presentation of the Cristal character, which reach us to my original question "...to whom it is addressed?" The past audience won't watch it, the new audience won't get it.
Overall: I don't see a ...Dynasty grow out of this. It lacks the larger-than-life actors/characters of the original and its too pretentious for each own sake.

It is literally the most "ok" show I have ever seen in my life, many characters evolve well, but others get worse and worse, some epsodios are boring, others are very good, this series is a "balance" that is average.

I was addicted to Dynasty in the 80s.. And saw it was coming back, and I rolled my eyes.. But, I can't help myself. The nods this does to the original, the 80s party, how the characters (The Colby's) play out is pretty damn creative, and knowing the original like I do, just makes me smile and enjoy this guilty pleasure.. I hope it get's renewed.. I honestly paid for the episodes I missed on Amazon - I enjoyed it that much!
First season epic! Fallon is amazing and super funny. Monica's acting is really bad- very staged and unnatural. It looks like she is always posing for pictures- annoying, ruins it for me. Season 3 is very forced and unnecessary. Too many people ate conspiring and getting mentally ill- very unrealistic and predictable.
I'd strongly recommend season 1&2 though :)

I was a fan of the original Dynasty and watched most of it on re-runs.
I can say that Fallon was a good choice, also Blake...the rest is bad. The stories are extremely campy, is this a comedy, a drama or a soap?
Blake is a secondary character, given little to do as the series focuses on Fallon and a bunch of lifeless gay characters.
I tortured myself through 3 of the season 2 chapters and there's one where they go to Paraguay to "build" houses, another chapter focuses on a palm reader, and another on a dream sequence around Fallon.
After that, no more. There are many better ways to waste my time than this.
This seems misguided - to what type of audience are they aiming for?

This is the stuff that soapy dreams are made of! It is rich, sexy, campy, sassy and over the top dramatic. Just as it should be! So much happening every episode! All the characters are complicated, they have their own motives for everything. Fallon is the main character, a beautiful bitchy and revengeful young business woman but desperate for her father's recognition. She is mean and harsh but you still love her. She has more to her than on the first sight. All episodes en with enormous cliff hangers worthy of the old soap opera days. What will happen next...

Loved the storyline. But - crystal- the actress is sooo annoying. Everything else is good. But seriously - casting her to act crystal out is so bad.
