Humorous but with the right amount of supernatural hunting. It's funny and witty and Ryan and Shane are the bois and they have the best reactions to anything. Shane a firm non-believer in the supernatural and Ryan scared at a paper moving because GHOSTS. The dynamic is great and it's like they are an old married couple bickering.

But I loved it. Just had it on in the background as i was doing chores, and knew that there was no way in hell I was going to put up with more than an episode. Hosted by a scruffy dork and the human caricature of Slenderman, i wanted to hate these guys so bad, especially slenderman, but after the first few episodes, I ended up loving these 2 guys. The humor is great, the source material for each episode is great. Just a very light hearted (and some times vulgar) cross country tour of haunted and paranormal sights between friends. Wholesome as heck. Theres no way in hell this stupid show shouldve worked but its 100% one of the most bingeworthy shows I've watched this year. It's obviously not game of thrones or anything worthy of a 10. But for what it is, imo a solid 9 for pure entertainment.

I was bored and I saw this come up on my Hulu suggestions a couple times. I love Ghost Adventures so I thought, why not. The show gives a good history on the places but not overly so that it's too much. I love the back and forth between the friends, skeptic vs believer aspect of the show it gives a good balance and makes for some actually very funny situations. A lot of these places they go to I've seen investigated before but this show makes it a little less intense and easier to watch. There's no "OH MY GOD DID YOU HEAR THAT?!" "OH MY GOD I WAS TOUCHED, ITS FREEZING" etc. The show is what it is and investigates these places pretty objectively. Entertaining at the very least!

After getting past the first episode, which I felt was pretty rough, I found myself thoroughly enjoying this show. The show is both informative as well as entertaining and intentionally funny. I appreciate that the hosts, Ryan and Shane, are actually intelligent and able to discuss the topics with a certain amount of insight and discernment, but without being stuffy. They also have great chemistry and are genuinely funny and witty. They are NOT just a couple of bros playing at being intellectuals and yelling at ghosts, which is also entertaining, albeit not in the way it is intended. But what can I say, I like nerds and witty, irreverent banter! Keep the episodes coming, Ryan and Shane!

I prefer this show to their true crime series. Throwing these two into the unknown will always yield some amusing results. The dynamic between Ryan, who is even scared of flashlights, and Shane, who is probably a demon himself, makes for a very entertaining half hour.
The show is not much about really finding ghosts or proving hauntings but mostly their banter and reactions over the experience.
I've watched the series more than once and it doesn't get less funny.

This show perfectly balances humour, scary, and informational. Some people say this show isn't scary enough and that the humour overshadows it but in reality, this show wasn't made to be scary. This isn't a box-office horror movie, this is meant to be informational, educating about various haunted places, whilst also providing entertainment through humour and scares. I find the whole 'Believer tries to convince his non believer friend that ghosts exist' dynamic highly entertaining, and Shane and Ryan 100% make this show good. If you're looking for somethig nscary but not overly terrifying and also funny, this is the show for you

I love the concept where one host is a total sceptic and the other one a true believer when it comes to supernatural stuff. That way, you can experience both sides and decide yourself what you want think. The production value is very high for a youtube series and even though they focus a lot on comedy, it can still give you chills at times. The only the thing that I would like to see more is stories about mystical creatures and foreign ghosts or demons.

I started off watching the true crime one and Ryan and Shane ripping on each other had me hooked. The best part is the facts they cover are easily fact checked and most don't need to be

I gave this a chance with 5 episodes. I get this is from Buzz Feed and that it's comedy based but it just doesn't work. Too much emphasis on being quirky and goofy without enough substance on the subject.
There are some really good supernatural episodes. But I'm a bit bored of the ghost hunting and visiting haunted places. I want more of mythical creatures (moth man, big foot) and aliens.

I love these guys! Always looking forward to the next episode. I've watched them all at least twice. They are awesome! Another season please
I don't believe in ghosts (mostly), so having Shane on this show is perfect. I love the banter and chemistry between him and Ryan. My only real reason for rating an 8 is because I wish there was more info and history on why a lot of these places are considered haunted. They do give background on some of the places, but not all.
I do love the history that's given in most episodes, and being a skeptic, I particularly like the episodes with some evidence. Overall, great show!
*Definitely watch their True Crime show, it's the best!

The hosts are fantastic, they have an amazing chemistry despite having such different opinions on the supernatural. The locations they visit are so interesting and every episode is a job to watch.
I love these guys they're hilarious but they're thorough it's a joy to watch. Ron Ron and Shane do an excellent job of researching everything I just wish we could solve one of these crimes.
Best ghost show around. I don't think i've ever laughed so hard during tense, super serious ghost investigations as much as i did in this show. Made me realize how cringey all the other ghost hunting shows kinda are.
Other ghost shows are kinda funny casue every little noise and somes like 'OOOOH a ghost!' i think having a skeptic, Shane, the second host is a good medium and tether to reality -- because no, not every noise you hear is a ghost and i'm sick of letting you get away with this.
So from here on out i pledge at least one token skeptic per ghost hunting show. I think the world needs it.

Honestly this is one of the best shows I've ever watched and Shane and Ryan have the best chemistry. It is informative and funny but it's the bond and chemistry they have that brings this show to life.

It's an interesting show. Came across it from the hosts sister show Buzzfeeds Unsolved: True Crime.
It's curious that both shows start with Ryan and someone who is replaced with Shane.
The format is pretty good an enjoyable.
Shane is pretty mellow, well tempered and the voice of reason.
Ryan however is very jumpy and excitable. In later episodes he gets very "pissy" and angry, especially with Ryan. And boy does Ryan has a major girl scream.
It appears to be "his" show and Shane is not so much a co host as he is Ryan's supporting cast. Ryan doesn't like to be questioned or have his lines stepped only. You also see Shane holding a camera and shooting Ryan but it's never the other way around so Ryan not only has to have more lines but also needs to have more camera angles and screen time. He also says the same lines, not catch phrases, in most episodes and you just wonder when he'll say it in each episode. I do wish he wouldn't use the spirit box in every single episode. Likewise they do a lot of the same things in each episode. Mix it it. You don't have to say your names, asks the spirts to speak your names, do 3 min of separate quiets time, use the spirit box, etc is every episode.
I don't have a problem with Ryan per see but the show just feels unbalanced.
It's certainly better than your typical ghost chaser show. The shorter segments are also appreciated.
I don't get the high 8 ratings. It's not that amazing, great, different.

I started watching this series but could only get through a few episodes due to the Shane guy apparently not possessing the power to ever shut up for more than 10 seconds. It almost seems like he's the kind of guy that thinks "as long as I think I'm funny, then I'm funny." which means he must make quips and take jabs at his cohost and CONSTANTLY has to say something because sooner or later something will "get a laugh". It freakin annoying.
Other than the guy who thinks he's a stand up comedian, the subject matter was interesting and I like the idea of a skeptic and a believer going to investigate urban legends and "paranormal" sites, but I can't get past chatty Kathy ruining every episode running his stupid mouth yet saying nothing.

I love how skeptic they are. Please please bring this show back for more seasons. Its so funny, and well done. And I love the chemistry between ryan and Shane. They are so ridiculous- but I love that. I do wish there was more backstory to the hauntings. Maybe each episode needs to a little longer for that to happen.

The chemistry between Ryan and Shane is definitely what makes the show. It's like a great bromance with a definite undercurrent of attraction/ romantic tension. Just look at the eye contact between them and you can definitely see it.
