At one point, the show's working title was "Super-Woman" back when the idea was for it to solely center on the supermarket's manager Shira.
The last names of Isaschar Shkedy (the supermarket chain owner) and Shuni Stretiner (a regular customer) are homage to the director Oren Shkedy and the editor Amit Stretiner respectively.
The network originally ordered a sketch show and the creators came up with one that takes place in a supermarket, but eventually decided to turn it into a mockumentary instead.
